This bag is incredibly sturdy and if you pack smart and pack light, you can take get weeks to months worth of travel out of this bag while not being an oversized bag( 36L). It keeps good form and structure. It's still relatively new product but so far it has been quite steady. Compression straps, ample space, shoe storage, front pocket, top pocket, laptop/tablet holder and a couple of mesh pockets inside. Side and top handles feel well built. I appreciate the load lifters. It looks good. Would appreciate a full black version but the gray is also quite nice! This one is well designed and will be very popular very soon.

Overall, the bag is great. Granted I 've only used it once, it's shown to be spacious enough to hold well over 10- 14 days worth of clothes if you pack out right. I do wish it was true to the image as the shoe compartment and water bottle pouches are n't actually black which is a small let down. Other than that, I like it a lot!

Had the older version of the Terra and this one is a huge upgrade. The hip pockets are clutch, and the beaver pouch on the front lets you stash wet/stinky clothes away from all your freshies inside. I bought this right before leaving for a two week in Costa Rica. I figured it would be rainy in Costa Rica even though it was the dry season. It still rained and got this bag wet. I bought this type of roll down water bag design because I have used just the bags for deep water soloing climbing and they work great. This bag worked just perfect to keep all my stuff dry. Mind you, I did n't jump into pools of water with it on and was n't stuck in downpours. I gave it only 4 stars because I did n't fully test it, however I 'm sure it would work just fine. Make sure you deflate the majority of the air out so you can roll it down tighter. Also, make sure to keep it rolled down evenly when securing the buckles. It will unravel some on one side and you would n't want it loose on one side to keep the water out. I 'm a male- 6ft 180lbs and the pack fits great!

I just got this pack a couple of minutes ago. It is very spacious and can hold one sleeping bag, plus a couple of extra things. Please beware though, it says tomato is the only color they have and that's what I ordered. Although, I received a black and gray pack. But, I 'm okay with that because I like that color. Back to the point though, I got the wrong color. It is a very good backpack overall. Also, its weather resistant. Its mostly, i would say, 95% a rubber type material. It seems very durable and feels like it can take a beating. 4 of 5 stars because DICK 'S sent the wrong color and not even a color advertised. I 'm not rating lower because I actually preferred black and gray.

This bag was never advertised as water proof keep that in mind. I use this as a day bag, it has performed flawlessly so far through torrential rain, sleet and snow. Do make sure you get atleast three tight rolls on the top. I 'm giving it 4 stars because of the length of time I 've had it, about 5 months. It's been on many day hikes and a couple overnighters. I usually do n't go over 12- 15 pounds, I pack a full hammock setup. Which includes tarp and underquilt as well as my Bushcrater trio, pack ax, a saw and a medium size knife as well as food and water and other small items. All said and done it works and yes Outdoor Products stands behind their gear, I 've had warranty replacement on one of my kids school bags with no questions asked.

These things are tough and durable, and if keeping things dry is an issue they can always easily be put in a dry bag. I have used the 8 liter bag for both backpacking and front country travel, it's great for both! I think the thickness of this bag is the perfect intersection of durable and light- good for a food bag while camping or a dirty laundry bag while traveling. I have never had a S2S buckle break on me, but it's cool that it comes with a field replaceable buckle. I 'm not totally sure what the benefit of the hang tab on the bottom of the bag is for, but I 'm sure there is a reason for it.

I use these lightweight dry bags on many caving expeditions. They are fantastic in that they hold up well and weigh almost nothing. The addition of the field repairable buckles has also really secured these as some of the best dry bags on the market. I would still prefer the seal design to be changed into more of an envelope style to ensure an even greater seal at the top but beyond that I really recommend these as long as you can put them in the secondary containment like a backpack.

This backpack is very big and sturdy and it can definitely hold a lot of whatever you need. I like that is has additional smaller pockets on the handles and straps to keep small things like wallets, cash, or cards dry and separate from the rest of the items you 're holding. the arm and waist straps are seemingly strong and easy to adjust to proper fit, and they hold the pack in place very securely. It's also nice looking and the easy to remove/attach waterproof cover is an additional plus.

It has buckles that can keep the backpack more compact, or unclipped, can expand to the full size. Has many pockets and comes with a rain shield in a bottom pocket to cover the whole backpack in the rain. The chest and waist clips to secure the backpack are comfortable too. I bought this a a month ago prior to travelling from UK to Canada and the USA. Used for work/ gym/ commute( on the days I need a bigger bag), train/ carryon air travel and day hikes. I can ’ t really fault it, you can use all the space available very easily, there ’s enough rigidity in the back to hold its shape even when not full and straps and handles seem sufficiently sturdy and comfortable. Some might prefer more pockets and compartments but I prefer the openness and flexibility between the quick access pocket at the top and the main compartment that butterflies open. You can be more strategic how you use that so long you remember what you need is on what side and only open that part. Drinks holder seems very sturdy, never drops. This replaces a Arc ’ Teryx Mantis that broke and is recommend this one for sure, and feels better made!

I have been very happy with this pack. I had previously been using a 45L travel backpack and it was just too big. This 30L bag is the perfect size. The material is well made and I especially love the way it can fit packing cubes. I also like the way the main compartment is accessed via a zipper that allows it to fully open when lying flat.

I took this bag on a 10- day trip to Italy, and it exceeded all my expectations. With an average of 25- 30k steps each day, the bag remained incredibly comfortable throughout. One day, I carried two bottles of wine and a quilt around Capri with ease; on another, I transported five bottles of wine from Ischia to Sorrento without a hitch. The clam shell design was a game- changer — when I nearly got pickpocketed in Rome, the thief couldn ’ t get into the bag, thanks to how I secured the zippers. Initially, I was concerned the bag might be too big, but when it came time to pack souvenirs and wine, the extra space was a lifesaver. I even used it as my carry- on in the airport, and it held everything I needed with room to spare. This bag was, without a doubt, the best travel companion I could have asked for.

I 've been on two trips using this bag and the cubes, one for a 3 day business trip and another for a three week trip through Chili, Uruguay and Argentina. This has turned out to be a nearly perfect pack for me. On both trips I filled it with one medium cube containing pants, a small cube with shirts, and another cube with underwear. My 15 '' laptop also fit in nicely along with various toiletries and smaller items. I found it to be very comfortable on my back and easy to adjust. It has a nice, clean, unpretentious look to it. I also have a Pakt2 and an Aer Travel Pack 3. Although both are a little larger than the Peak Design, I found that the Peak Design turned out to be the most practical to pack and access among the three packs. I am very satisfied with this pack and the cubes. They make for a great packing system.

Have n't used it for said trip yet, but have used it on local hikes to get a good feel for it and it checks all my boxes. It's uncomplicated( just one main compartment with some exterior storage) and I love the padded hipbelt. Also like the fact that there's compatibility for a water bladder. I am a 35 years old nomad, and I 've been a nomad since my childhood( thank you, mom and dad!). So you can imagine that I ’ ve gone through my fair share of travel gear. But five years ago, I made the switch to this backpack, and let me tell you: it changed the game!! This isn ’ t just a bag; it ’s my life in carry- on form. We ’ re talking everything: clothes, two laptops, cameras, wires, other electronics, toiletries, you name it... I even managed to attach a tripod and camping tent on the front face for a while.( Who even designs something that versatile? Genius!!!) I am not the most careful person with my belongings, so backpack has seen it all. I ’ ve flown on airlines across every continent, and not once did it get issues using it as a carry- on. Okay, there was that one tiny plane where it wouldn ’ t fit in the overhead bin. But I found an easy solution: I pulled out my laptops, slid this backpack under the seat, and we were good to go.( Sure, the flight was cramped, but blame the plane, not the backpack 😂) It ’s not just about the space, though. This bag is comfy to carry for hours, perfectly balanced, with multiple carrying options and a sternum strap that ’s somehow both lightweight and super durable. And yes, it ’s heavier than my previous bags. But I ca n't complain, because it ’s built to last. Five years of travel( and trust me, my trips are not gentle), and it still looks like I just bought it. No scratches, no tears, not much wear( you can see it in the pic, although the backpack was super dirty on one of those pics lol). And I loooove the water resistance. This thing has survived downpours that left me drenched while my gear stayed dry. Mind you, I have my stuff inside plastic bags inside my backpack, just in case. But the last few times, nothing inside got wet anyway. I haven ’ t tested it recently, and I know that the water resistance may decrease over the years... but from my past experiences, it ’s never let me down.( I ’ ll update this review if that ever changes) If you ’ re on the fence because of the price, but you are looking for something to use for years, let me save you some time: just get it. After five years, I can ’ t imagine using another backpack. It ’s my ultimate travel companion, and if ever it breaks, I would buy another one for sure. I hope this helps someone!!!

I absolutely love this backpack in almost every way. It offers so many smart solutions for organizing, packing, and commuting. There are plenty of videos on YouTube showcasing how well it ’s built, and all of that is absolutely true. The material feels incredible, and while placing a tripod in the side pockets does stretch it a bit, I ’ ve never felt like the material would give way. It ’s by far the best backpack I ’ ve ever owned. That said, it ’s a bit small for me, as the waist belt sits a little too high for someone like me — a 1. 90m tall guy with broad shoulders.

I love how tiny this packs up- I take it on every trip. The fact that it's waterproof means I can take it on river trips or Italian boardwalks and never worry about my belongings surviving rainstorms or splashes. My only complaint is that it's just one giant open pocket, but the cinch straps on the front make it easy to decrease the size of the pack when carrying smaller loads.

The Ultra- Sil Dry Day Pack is uber lightweight for a dry bag/ backpack combo. It packs up into its own small 3 '' carry bag so it's great and small to keep in a purse or laptop bag for availability on the go. The drypack carries a lot and feels sturdy on your bag. It does n't bounce around even when half full. When full, you still hardly notice it's on your back. We used it for long hikes and to keep my camera dry in the case of a rain shower. It worked well! At the top of the pack is a buckle that allows you to roll down the top of the pack and buckle it, thus keeping moisture out. This particular bag is slightly harder to pack into its own carry bag overall, unlike the Ultra- Sil Daypack. The top buckle is harder to repack into the carry bag. I found myself packing it 75% of the way in and letting the carabiner and buckle hang outside of the carry bag. Not ideal but liveable for such a lightweight, capable dry bag. Outside of the drypack are stretchable tie- downs that can hold a jacket or other items outside of the bag. These are good for jacket but I 'd be careful with heavier items that could slip out.

This is a great product for just about any sport that involves any sort of water. This spends most of the winter on my snowmobile keeping backup layers dry, and has held up really well. These ca n't get wet extra layers are essential in the backcountry, but I never have to worry about that with this bag. In the summer this transitions onto my bike and can take the wear and tear of being strapped on externally. I had an older version of these bags, but the new one is easier to use and more streamlined. The compression feature is well worth the( minimal) additional weight as it takes up way less space and gives you more options to strap the bags onto other things.

13L is the perfect size for my 20 degree down sleeping bag. It ’s critical to keep down dry and having the compression straps turn a full size down bag into the size of a small basketball which frees up lots of space in my backpack for other items. I have an older version of this bag that still works well but the new quick release buckles on this model make it easier to use. Note that you do need to be patient for the eVent to work. It ’s a dry bag so water can ’ t get in but air can escape with compression out of the eVent fabric. Pro tip: roll the top closed once and add pressure to get out a lot of the air, then add two more rolls and clip closed. Pull the bottom over the top and using constant pressure keep cinching the straps alternating sides for and even compression. Another quality piece of gear by Sea to Summit. Two thumbs up.

I have been using the EVX 13 L dry bag when paddling, climbing, camping and bikepacking. This bag is amazing! It is light, tough and above all keeps the weather out. I took this out on a multi- day bikepacking trip which turned into a multi- day snow and rain event. I stored my down jacket and other `` need to stay dry so you do n't cry '' items in it( down jacket/pants). Everything stayed perfectly dry. The compression straps allow me to get my gear into small areas in my bike bags without compromising the integrity of my gear. The compression straps worked super smooth, no twisting or locking up. I travel to remote locations, most of the time solo( unless guiding). I need to know that I can count on my gear to keep me in the backcountry as long as I want and not have to leave due to equipment failure or poor design. The EVAC bag is amazing. This a great backpack and is nice combination of an ultralight backpack, but with a lot of the features of a more traditional backpack. I hike a lot in the backcountry of the Rockies front range, and this back has been effective at bringing a lot of safety gear required to keep me safe since the weather can change quickly. Was able to put a photo packing cube with camera and long lens in addition to some basic clothing, shoes etc. it was comfortable to wear and fit under the airplane seat. I got this backpack to prepare for my 3 month trip in the Caribbean and it ’s has been so helpful to say the least. I have an overpacking problem but all of the different compartments and pockets made it so I could fit everything I needed. The support on the backside of it helps so much with my back pain and doesn ’ t make me feel exhausted at the end of a busy travel day. Furthermore, the top bit comes off as a smaller backpack which was perfect for day trips. The only thing i would change would be the smaller buckles that attach the front pocket to the bag, they were a little weak. However, I don ’ t have any worry they will come undone when I check it at the airport. Overall, this bag has been a HUGE help!! It definitely has made my traveling much easier.

[ This Ampex 65L transcend backpack is quite impressive. It checks all high- end features like- waterproof material, little pockets for essentials is awesome. It provides really decent support for the frame on the back and the rest on the hips, rather than on upper back and shoulders. Lastly as it is 65L- it can pack everything needed for international or a multi- day hike comfortably.

This is a great backpack for the price. I am giving it 5 stars because it's everything you would want and need in a pack. The middle zipper opening is an amazing feature that allows you to get into your items without having to pull everything out from the top like a conventional pack. One downside are the hip straps. I feel they could be slightly larger for the size of pack, I had some discomfort but nothing terribly bad, likely had more to do with me being out of shape as well. I recommended this to a buddy and he has one and uses it quite often like myself.

I went backpacking in Linville Gorge, NC for three days, and honestly, my best choice was the 65L backpack. It fit what I needed and had plenty of room to spare. The support to keep my back from sweating, the elastic exterior pockets, and the included small daypack are my favorite details. I would change the side straps for the rigid mat to be a little longer, and the phone holder to be more elastic, since my S23 Ultra does n't fit. I highly recommend this backpack without a doubt.

[ I 'd been using my old pack for 20 years and just bought the Osprey Atmos 65. I just came back from a five day trip in the Beartooths( Montana) and I was glad to have the new pack. It definitely put the weight on my hips and was much easier on my shoulders than my old pack. The suspension system was also great, making this a more comfortable backpack. It's almost 4 pounds lighter than my previous pack as well. I 've only used it 5 days, so ca n't really comment on the long- term durability. I 've had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders over the past 2 1/2 years so my shoulders appreciated the new pack as well. Very pleased so far.

I recently purchased the Allpa 42L and absolutely loved it! Everything about it was very solid, well- made and well thought out. The only two issues that I had with it was it seemed like the waist belt was a little bulky if you did not want to wear it and it was way bigger than I thought it was going to be! I ’ m sure that ’s a good thing, but I did have to return it so that I can get a smaller one because it was so big. If you are traveling and you ’ re looking for a super great well built well designed well thought out bag this is a must have! I think this may be one of the most functional bags I have seen in a long time for traveling, I was sad to have to send it back, but looking forward to getting the same thing in a little smaller size!

I needed a mid- size bag for a full day of multi- pitch climbing, crag hopping, and lots of hiking in between. Priorities were lightweight, supportive, wearable while climbing, and water bladder compatibility. This bag fits the bill on all of those and is built to comfortably accommodate a harness while being to easily access gear. Where it missed the mark for me was that it's built for a male body. I tried as many adjustments as much as possible but as a 5' 4 '' '' female I could n't get the right fit. I hope osprey recognizes an untapped market and creates female versions of these technical bags some day, like they do for hiking bags!

[ I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I use many totes in my house to store items not in use. I really like the Alpaca Gear Box for many reasons. For starters, this box is 45 liters and boasts plenty of room for a number of different items. I love that it is waterproof and dust proof, as I have pointed out the blue seal in one picture. This box is equipped with 4 hinges, meaning that it does n't just open on one side, you can open it on either side or completely remove the cover! And the cover, guess what?! It is clear so you can see what it inside, and, it is smash- proof!! How awesome is that? I also like that there are holes on two side of the lid and box which I 'm assuming are to use for padlocks. All in all this is a great gear box that is super durable and will be used for years to come.

This backpack is well proportioned and has all of the right amount of pockets for storage of all sizes of items for your journey. It is also comfortable to wear which is a must. My only complaints are two minor things. First, the bottom zipper where the sleeping bag goes can get stuck easily on the zipper guard/overhang.
