Nice that this is weighted as it really helps it to not move around. But not good if you are picking it up for exercises or bouncing it. It really does n't bounce. So consider whether or not you are going to pick it up for exercises before buying it. Good, heavy construction. You will probably have to inflate it twice, as the thickness takes a little time to stretch to full diameter. Kind of a specialty product, but I like it.

I have been using this unit at our gym for over a year, then bought my own. Only three exercises, one of which does the same thing as a Roman Chair, which is crucial for the lower back; it is called Hyper Extension. If you can not do this for your lower back, those discs will get worst than they are. If you can not do this at least twice a week, skip it.

I bought the balance disc because I found balance balls just did n't work for me while sitting at a desk. In order to be able to work at a desk, I need a pretty large ball that is tall enough for me to type on a computer; however, balls of that size are just too large for me to sit with my feet on the floor. The balance disc is a great compromise because it provides the same balance effort, but I can do actual work on my computer by adjusting the height of the chair. I prefer the disc with the raised circles on it versus the textured surface of the various balance cushions, simply because I felt the `` nubbiness '' of the cushions would be uncomfortable.

I am the most inexperienced yoga/active sitter there is. I recently got a desk job and had been having a hard time staying at my desk and having some back and knee pain from it. There are lots of medicine balls out there. This type can bounce without aid of a trampoline so you can throw against a wall without harming yourself or the ball. Other types either do n't bounce or have breakable internal parts. Also, the nubby covering is easy to grip and is in my opinion nicer than the other bouncable versions.

I got this ball several days ago and I consider it a great ball at a very reasonable price. It is attractive( looks just like the picture), feels good on the skin, is made from very sturdy material( definitely professional quality) and did n't have any odor right from the start. It really measures 75 cm in diameter. I found that the best way to pump up this ball is to use a compressor to get a good shape and then switch to the supplied pump to top off at high pressure. Unlike some other reviewers, I found the pump to be excellent. It is obviously designed to deliver small amounts of air at high pressure so I was able to get a very firm ball in short order. It pumps on both the upward motion and the downward motion which is a very intelligent and useful design. However, it would take a long time to fill the ball completely using only the supplied pump. When I bought the ball it was not advertised to come with a DVD so make sure you check on that first before ordering. I 'm 6' 3' and 220lbs and this ball is the right size for me for general exercising. I can use this ball all day long and it will last forever.

I purchased this ball to replace a different one that I had less luck with. I was hoping that the `` commercial grade '' would yield better quality results. Here are my initial impressions. If things change over the next few weeks, I 'll be sure to leave an update. ContentThe ball came with a useful starter booklet describing basic exercises( that are also printed around the center of the ball), a DVD that I have not looked at yet, two plugs, a plug removing tool, a premarked tape measure with holes for the pump, a pump, and extra nozzle for the pump, and the ball. Definitely a superior initial impression over the other ball I received. Initial Quality ImpressionThe ball felt heavier than the other one I had received, which was also rated for 2000 lbs, and did n't smell particularly bad. Indeed, pumping did seem more cumbersome. Others have reported that the included pump is cheap and fairly worthless. I never even tried it as it was identical to the lousy pump I had received with another product, but instead used the handy- dandy included nozzle that fit nicely into a bicycle pump. The instructions said to pump the ball up over 2 days, half the first day, then let it settle for 10- 12 hours before finishing the job. I followed the instructions with some disappointment in not being able to put the ball to immediate use. After pumping the ball fully using the handy included tape measure, I found that it was a bit softer than the other 75 cm ball I had, despite the extra effort it took to actually inflate the thing. However, it is not soft to the point of sagging, and can definitely be used as is. Note that I am not any kind of an expert on these things and it may be that it is supposed to be a little soft. I am simply comparing it to a previous product I had. The pin remover worked well. Overall, my initial impressions are very positive. I considered giving it four starts instead of five due to the lousy pump and the slightly soft feeling, but I think the extras that came with the ball more than made up for that.** UPDATE** I 've had it for 20 days now and it has not lost any air. It's still a bit soft, but I think that's actually okay. The DVD included is actually quite helpful. Includes both basic and advanced exercises. I would definitely recommend this product.** UPDATE 1 YEAR LATER** I 'm amazed. The ball is still in good shape. While I no longer use it every day, this is definitely a solid product. It continues to hold its shape and has lost very little air. I would strongly recommend this product.

Bought this back in 2012, and it's pretty much the same as it was back then. Easy to inflate and holds the air for a long time. I 've only had to reinflate it once during this entire time.

Let me start by saying that I was looking for a reasonably priced reformer that folds up for storage and uses real springs instead of cords. I searched for hours online, and this is the only one that met those specifications. I was a little hesitant at first because there were n't any reviews for it at the time I purchased it. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to assemble and how well it works for the price! Now to get into the details... It was packaged well and nothing was damaged during shipping. It was super easy to assemble! You do need two people to unfold it since it is somewhat heavy, but after that you just screw in some knobs to attach the foot bar, shoulder pads, etc. The carriage is wide and actually quite long. I was worried because the foot bar does n't adjust at all, but I am 5' 9 '' with long legs and was much more comfortable doing foot work on this reformer than any I 've used in a studio. I 've done reformer Pilates in studios for years, and I find the four available springs provide more than enough resistance for what I need. A couple minor cons and things to watch out for( none of these bother me enough to reduce my 5- star rating though!): The carriage glides smoothly on the rails for the most part. I found it was catching a bit on the crease where the reformer folds up, but once I fixed the rope/straps to the correct length, I found I hardly ever go out that far with the carriage anyway. That being said, be sure to read the instructions and ensure your ropes/straps are at the right length! It was much better after I did that. There is n't a metal rod/hook to hold the straps, so I have to either put them on the floor next to the carriage or hook them around the shoulder pads which is uncomfortable on my shoulders. The shoulder pads are n't fully secured( you just pop them in the holes), so they occasionally pop off when I try to get the straps off them. Not a big deal; I just pop them back in. They have n't ever popped off mid- exercise. There is some noise when I move the carriage, but it mostly just sounds like new wheels on shiny new metal. I 'm hoping it will go away with time, but it's really not that bothersome if it does n't. Overall, now that I have it properly set up, it works very well for the exercises I need. For an inexpensive at home reformer that folds for storage and uses real springs, this one is absolutely fantastic! I 'm so glad I bought it!

I used to do the pilates floor routines, but couldnt get motivated to keep doing it over time. I ’ ve researched home reformers off and on for a few years now. After reading the reviews for this one I finally made my choice. Its well made with springs not cords, and it folds up. The wheels were a little squeaky, but I just wiped the tracks and wheels off with a dry rag, then put a small amout of coconut oil the length of the track. That seems to have stopped the noise. So far I love it and want to use it every day! They could have included a dvd video instead of just downloads to phone. That ’s my only complaint. Someday if I wear it out I ’ d love to have the whole setup on a platform with a cadillac.

I teach mat and reformer Pilates but I ’ ve never been able to have a reformer at home because of space limitations. My husband and I live in a major city and space is at a bit of a premium in our loft condo. What attracted me to this reformer is the fact that it folds in half so that you have the option of putting it away in a closet when you have dinner guests or just don ’ t want a piece of exercise equipment being part of your everyday decor. There is definitely a bit of a learning curve and some exercises don ’ t work as easily on this machine as they would on a studio reformer because the dimensions of the foot bar, carriage and shoulder blocks are slightly different. However as I have gotten used to working with it over the last couple of months, I have found that simple modifications with spring tension and body placement can make most if not all traditional reformer exercises work on this machine. I also did have some issues with a really squeaky carriage with my first few workouts but a little silicone spray in the tracks immediately fixed the sound and made the machine glide much more smoothly. Even though there is a bit of a learning curve, I think this machine is a gem! It was absolutely the best choice for me at this point in time. I use it everyday and would absolutely recommend it to anyone with limited space who wants to practice reformer pilates at home.

Recently upgraded to this new Pilates machine from Stamina products. We have had an earlier model, the Stamina Products JP4500, for around 15 years and the only thing we recently replaced were the rollers. Impressed with their reliability we ordered this product. We had a few minor issues primarily related to the shipment but Connie from customer service went above and beyond to address them to our complete satisfaction. The assembly of the product was relatively easy and I was able to complete it leisurely in about 45 minutes. All the tools are provided and the assembly instructions are clear. The product itself is great and compares very favorably to the professional equipment we use at the Gym, for a fraction of the price. In addition to the usual features this also has the Rebounder that gives you a great cardio workout. It comes with a work out wall poster( and videos) that are simple to do and exercise almost every part of your body including legs, abdominals, hips, obliques, thighs etc. In just a week of use my wife and I notice a significant improvement in our flexibility and muscle strength. The cushion pad is wider than what we had with the older model and very comfortable. We also bought the optional pull up bar and that provides even more exercise possibilities. It's not often that you get a great product that is matched with excellent customer service, particularly in these trying times. However this AeroPilates Reformer from Stamina is one of them.

My wife is 5' 4 '' and can not reach it, but she uses her stepper, but not much. She mostly uses it for tricep dips. The only small complaint I have is the chin up bar does n't feel as solid as the rest of the unit, probably because it's held in with a single bolt? I think a square tube instead of round might have allowed for a more solid connection up top. Either way, for the money you are getting near commercial grade equipment( some might argue this is commercial grade)!!
