It is great because it has slight pressure on its own but you can add even more but pressing in as you are rolling. I have had two surgeries on one knee and have two daughters with that run and do PT strengthening for the knee. I bought two for my daughter that is running competitively and two for my knees. My other daughter came home and immediately claimed one. I bought two small and two large. I would go with the medium if I were to order again. These wraps stay on and do n't slip. Let's face it we are supposed to sit while icing the knees but if you have to get up to answer the phone or get a glass of water it is nice to have the wrap on. No messing ice bags slipping or dripping all over and the cold is distributed evenly and around the entire knee not just the front or side. I highly recommend these knee wraps. I was very skeptical about buying this at first because I mainly use ice when doing cold therapy on my ankle. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how this compression boot was able to properly ice my ankle! It was almost like having ice on it! I am a basketball player who works out 5- 7 times a week and I 've had multiple ankle injuries. This compression boot does a great job of icing everything from the mid calf down to the sides of the ankle. It does not have an ice pack going under the bottom foot part though in case anyone was wondering. HOWEVER!! Be very careful when icing with this! I accidentally did not put one of the ice packs all the way into the inner sleeve of the compression boot and I iced for 20 minutes with part of the ice pack in direct contact of my skin. Because of this I got mild ice pack burn!! It is n't that painful but I can imagine it would have been much worse if I had continued icing past 20 minutes! While there are protective sleeves inside the boot to hold the ice pack, it's important not to ice for over 20 minutes because you can end up getting an ice pack burn! This is because ice packs stay cooler longer than ice and is colder than it ice is too! That is my little tidbit of advice for anyone buying this! But overall I 'd definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for an easier icing session and it's one of the best investments I 've made!

[ I was skeptical as I was comfortable with another product as my go- to pain relieving ointment but Tiger Balm works surprisingly great. The menthol scent is a bit strong but I 'm familiar with that as my prior go- to smells similar. The difference however is in the warming sensation I get from tiger balm and it's long lasting effect. Kinda tastes like luckycharms and a hint of the a dairy queen vanilla- cone. obviously tastes like strawberry, I 'm just mentioning the slight background flavors and they dont bother me. One thing I have always appreciated about serious mass is how well it mixes using hot water from my sink and aggressive shaking. Fill your bottle like, 1/3 the way, then a serving of serious mass, shake the crap out of it, top off with more hot water and shake again and its good. For some reason the strawberry mixes better than chocolate.

This is a great roller if you are new or like a softer touch on the foam roller. Unlike most of the Trigger Point rollers this one is solid foam which has a little more give and is more comfortable than the hollow core rollers from them. I have this and one the hollow core rollers they both have their plus sides. This is not quite as aggressive and is there fore more tolerable for extensive work or sensitive muscles.
