At first I was hesitant to pay money for a piece of foam but after trying one of these rollers out at my yoga studio I had to buy one. There are very few ways to get a good IT band stretch without one of these rollers and always finding new ways to use this thing. Great alternative to foam rolling. I use this at the end of the day if my legs, arms, shoulders or neck are sore from my workout or just the day. It is great because it has slight pressure on its own but you can add even more but pressing in as you are rolling. I personally think it is a great alternative to foam rolling and if you are n't quite ready to purchase a massage gun. I would not recommend it for someone that has a low pain tolerance.

[ I was skeptical as I was comfortable with another product as my go- to pain relieving ointment but Tiger Balm works surprisingly great. The menthol scent is a bit strong but I 'm familiar with that as my prior go- to smells similar. The difference however is in the warming sensation I get from tiger balm and it's long lasting effect. The relief is almost instant and I do n't have to keep re- applying. Plus, it does n't stain my clothes. I 'm definitely going to keep using it.

A trainer of mine several years ago suggested a trigger point ball for areas that are difficult to target with a foam roller. I thought about just getting a tennis ball. I did n't think this little ball could be so beneficial, but it most certainly has been. I 've used it on the side of my shoulder and around my shoulder blades in my back. The ball has different colors of foam that give a little more than others. You can target the pressure differently depending on how you position the ball.

I was searching online on ways to reduce muscle soreness and loosen my tight muscles and found out about foam rollers. I spoke to a colleague of mine who was a cross fit instructor and also recommended on. I previously bought one made just out of foam and did n't find it effective. It was too mushy and I could n't feel it working. But this trigger point grid x really worked well! I can feel it deep in my muscle tissue. My range of motion and recovery seemed to improved as well! Love the foam roller, use it for stretching out my IT Band. Make sure you use it correctly, very painful when stretching out calves, outer thigh and hip area. You must go slow and use your body weight to roll the foam roller. Use it daily and it really makes a difference.
