Unlike most of the Trigger Point rollers this one is solid foam which has a little more give and is more comfortable than the hollow core rollers from them. I have this and one the hollow core rollers they both have their plus sides. This is not quite as aggressive and is there fore more tolerable for extensive work or sensitive muscles.

Totally better than( insert an amazing feeling here, yes, I know and mean what most of you would insert here) I 've suffered with a pinched nerve in my neck since I was 2 years old due to a car wreck. It is great because it has slight pressure on its own but you can add even more but pressing in as you are rolling. I personally think it is a great alternative to foam rolling and if you are n't quite ready to purchase a massage gun. I would not recommend it for someone that has a low pain tolerance.
