I always am, but they are that breathable and light. But not see- through or sheer. I did buy black and the dark red and ca n't confirm the see- through qualities of the lighter colors. For size reference, I am 5' 6 '', 138#, a 6 in most pants and I bought a medium. I probably could 've gone with a small, but I do n't like things to cut into my waist. The waistband does n't stretch out with wear, so I think the size is perfect.
