I read LOTS of reviews( 1 star review- 5 star reviewers) before purchasing, and I am pleasantly surprised with the fit of the jacket. SEVERAL reviewers stated the jacket runs large, one or two stated it runs `` true to size '', so, what is the `` real deal ''? I believe it runs pretty true to its stated size. The large is a little large on me, and the sleeves are a bit long. I have long arms( wear shirt size 16 X 34- 35 '') and the large jacket sleeves are a bit too long. So, it is NOT a `` tailored fit look '', but I personally prefer the jacket to be a bit larger to enable me to wear a sweater of hoodie underneath. The Medium size may have been a better fit; not sure; but I also wanted the grey jacket( which is almost black in color) and it has a somewhat sculptured fit in the way it was designed. I am MOST pleased. PAY HEED: Do NOT attempt to put anything in what `` appears to be '' inside pockets, as these are NOT inside pockets, they are the inside lining for the two outside access pockets. I got this for my four year old and it is a perfect puffer jacket. It's reversible, warm, and very comfortable. I love that it has pockets even though it's reversible. It is a perfect size as well- not too big, and not too small, which can be difficult to get with a kids size. I would definitely get this again as my son grows. It's a perfect winter jacket!

This jacket is more than I could have hoped for. I operate a snowplow at a ski resort at night during storms clearing parking lots. When I get out of the tractor into what is frequently a howling blizzard, this keeps me warm, sealed and protected. It's loose enough that I can wear layers underneath if it's really cold and the whole thing is lined with nylon so there is no binding at all. The hood and zipper come up to just the right place on my chin to be functional without hindering. And when it's wet snow or rain, it runs right off and I stay dry. Amazingly comfortable. There is nothing about this jacket that I do n't like. Bravo Carhartt!

I bought this recently after outgrowing a jacket I used for many years! I keep my jackets for multiple years and am very pleased with it so far. It ’s extremely cozy and warm and I get cold easily! I live in the interior of BC, Canada, where it ’s often brisk in the mornings and evenings. I am 5 ’ 6 ” and 170lbs of muscle with wider hips and shoulders- this jacket in a large fits perfectly with room for a hoodie underneath while not being too tight on my bum. The forest green colour is also beautiful and matches my green eyes but that ’s besides the point. I love it and hope it lasts many many years!

The weather can be bipolar very often, so if it's 35 degrees outside at the beginning of the day and hot later, I like the fact that I can carry a lightweight jacket around and stuff it in my backpack when I 'm not wearing it. Unlike some puff jackets, they can be very heavy and bulky. The jacket is ideal for 35+ degree weather or a little under if you layer well underneath. Also, keep in mind my 35- degree weather may feel warmer to others who live in areas that get lots of snow and wind. I have n't had the chance to wash it, but the material seems like it will hold up well in a normal wash cycle. I think I may have needed to go to a smaller size, I had plenty of space in the jacket zipped.

I couldn ’ t be any happier with this jacket. I love that it ’s not heavy, bulky or stiff. The lining is just enough to keep you warm with out making you too hot when in your car or while shopping. If you ’ re an outdoor enthusiast where you ’ ll be out for an extended time in- 0 temps, I ’ d look for a different jacket. This one is stylish and plenty warm for short times out in mild winter weather. I normally wear a large in clothing but typically size up in coats so I bought an XL. It fits perfect and I didn ’ t have the sleeve length issue as I saw in other reviews.( Just a note; Id say my arms are normal in length). If they were to improve this jacket, the thumb hole cuff inserts would be nice. I love this jacket so much that I went back to got the other color. Sadly it was sold out.

This jacket is very soft, medium weight and warm. I usually wear M size and bought L this time. It is fit perfectly with a hoodie inside. There is a hide pocket inside to hold phone which is a plus for me. I like the blue color very much. Highly recommend this jacket.

Yes, this is a cropped boxy fit and runs a bit big. As long as you know that going into the purchase you won ’ t be disappointed. It ’s a FP dupe and a pretty good one( better than ones I found on Amazon). I am usually between a S and M and will often go with M in items like this to layer. But after reading reviews, I went with a S and I ’ m very happy. I can still layer under it but it ’s not too long, the sleeves are perfect and it ’s just baggy enough to be cute. I ’ m 5 ’ 3 ” and 145 for reference. I got the green and I like it but be warned it ’s a color that changes drastically depending on the light. Sometimes it looks darker or lighter and sometimes it pulls blue and almost looks teal. I ’ m considering buying in a second color because so far it has felt pretty warm and comfy to me.

First off, the product does not have a hood& the cuffs/hood/hem do not have cinch capability. That being said I love this! The hem is shorter in front, longer in back. I am 5 ’ 9 ” about 125lbs( and small chested) and go between small& medium tops. I ordered a small& feel it fits great with room to wear a hoodie underneath for fall/winter/spring hiking if needed. I also love the dual pocket in front! I cant wait to put it to good use!

I am looking forward to wearing this when it is cold and even a little misty! The fit is a bit boxy, but not unflattering. I like the quilted look and color! The zipper is nice and the raised collar. I am not sure that I will use the front pocket, more for style.

Love this jacket. I was worried about the reports that it's `` short '' I 'm 5' 9 '' with a longer torso and short legs( 30- 32 inseam) and the jacket came to just below my belt line. It's definitely a jacket for car camping, walks around town, etc. This IS N'T a summit series jacket and is defiantly not built as a belay jacket which I think some get confused. For me, after hitting the slopes and a bit sweaty, I pull this out of my pack, fluff it up( it folds into its own pocket and packs very small) and put it on going in and out of the lodge before the sweat get cold and drops my body temp.

[ This jacket meets my PNW needs. It's perfect protection against rain and wind while walking my dog or hanging out on the beach. It's soft, comfortable, and seems to be well constructed. My only complaint is that I had to size up in order for the bottom to zip. The bottom is more fitted and now the top is a bit bulky. I 'm short and curvy and usually wear a medium in jackets, but had to purchase a large. Even with the odd fit, I still think it looks stylish.
