But, if you 're spending a lot of time working outside in Wyoming in winter in snow, on ice, and in the very special kind of mud we have up here, they are stellar. Sizing winter boots has been quite challenging. I wear a 10. 5 medium width athletic shoe/ 44. 5 cycling shoe. I tried many brands and sizes including LL Bean, KEEN, Columbia, Muck, and a few more. Boots like this can feel stiff so I prefer thicker wool socks for added cushion and insulation. An 11. 5 was snug but not too tight( like the 11) and gave me enough wiggle room in the toe box. When I finally got outdoors with them, I found them warm and comfortable walking around for more than two hours through slush and snow on trails and streets. They are quick to slip on and lace up, quick to unlace and slip off. I am very satisfied with them.

Got these for my 7- year- old and after two snowstorms-- and day- long sledding adventures-- she loves them. The rubber exterior feels almost like silicone rubber and stays flexible even in sub- zero weather, they have generous insulation inside, and thoughtful touches like a low- friction liner( making them easy to pull on and off) and an internal snow skirt with elastic pull cord to keep the insides dry. These boots are a bit heavy but they are very sturdy and the sole feels grippy. Good quality. the inside is comfy and cozy. I love the side zipper for easy on and off. I wear 6- 6. 5 in regular shoes and usually have to size up in winter boots because I wear thicker socks. I got a 6. 5 and it fits perfectly with enough wiggle room even with thick socks. The boots are great! Handled spring time in Colorado so raining, ice, sleet and then snow all in one day. I mucked horse stalls and had very warm feet while doing that chore. I was outside for 2 hours and my feet and calves didn ’ t get cold. I was able to walk uphill on ice and not slip. They are comfortable and require little “ break in ”. Great purchase.

OMG I CAN NOT say enough about these boots.... I will be ordering them in all 3 colors. I had yet to find a hiking boot that didnt cause me foot pain, blisters, or hot spots.... until now. These fit my feet perfectly. The toe box is typically where i struggle with hiking boots- blisters and pain of the great toe and medial ball of foot. Even while breaking these in I did not experience either of these issues. I have tried SO many other brands without finding the right fit.... i resorted to hiking Montana's Mountains in luna sandals because i could not find a hiking shoe/boot that didnt cause foot pain.
