Second pair of these boots. Wish they came in half sizes. We put an insert in them and they fit better though. Freest boot that fits snug to the calf without cutting off circulation. Important if you are weed whacking and don ’ t want a bunch of grass down your boot! Super comfy and keeps feet cooler than the cheap black boots. The size 10 felt snug out if the box with work socks but they broke in without problem( Redwing 9. 5) Good traction and stance on snow, ice and mud. I bought these boots over a year ago. So far they have been pretty good. I work as a full time diesel technician and occasionally have to do landscaping and construction work and these boots have held up pretty well to everything I do. The oil, diesel, break cleaner, etc have not hurt the leather nor the stitches at all. I will say I am disappointed in the insoles, being that they only lasted me about 4 months. I have had to replace the insoles quite often but mainly because I do weigh about 255 lbs and have a very wide foot. Also the hook eyelet on my left boot broke after about 6 months as well. The water proof feature has been great even for being a lace up boot. I ’ ve been I some fairly deep water( nearly covering up the entire boot) and haven ’ t had any water go into these boots or the leather. All in all these boots have been a strong and sturdy boot for what I need them for. I ’ d recommend them highly since I haven ’ t had much issues with them besides the two mentioned and have found them super comfortable

I purchased the Men's Mt. Maddsen Slip- On Shoe in October 2022 about a month before a trip to Northern Ireland. I was looking for a comfortable hiking shoe. Having previously owned a pair of Timberland SmartWool slip- ons that were wonderful to wear, I gave the Mt. Maddsen slip- ons a try. They did not disappoint. The leather uppers softened and molded themselves to fit my foot so they have become my preferred shoe for working in the yard as well as hiking. They shed water well and the thick soles keep my foot out of puddles in the rain. After 2 years of hard use( I write this in 2024) the soles are worn, but no separation at all from the leather uppers. Very well made.( This is for the model A6660 made in Vietnam)

Not are they only the most comfortable boot I may have ever owned, they kept my foot entirely dry the entire day and when i reached into the boot to see if it was damp at all it was entirely dry. The cushion and comfort in this boot is unreal. I ’ m not a hunter nor do I use these boots for work. I wear them to walk my labs during the winter in all weather. worth the money. Being on my feet most of the days for the past 30+ years of my career, I need a greatly comfortable pair of shoes.... especially with my lower discs deteriorated. Also need the shock resistance working on 120- 480 volt equipment. Also need the slip resistance on slippery and/or oily surfaces. These have been my 'go- to' for a couple decades now. These are more comfortable to me than any pair of 'tennis show' I 've worn There is a negative to the comfort... the shoes are actually designed as a 'trail style' shoe. A good place would be when I purchased these bad boys during my time working at Cabela's 4 years ago. Once I placed these glorious looking fiends on a display rack, I knew I had to have them. And boy am I glad I do. These have been my year- round daily boot, for literally all weathers in Colorado, and I wear them literally every day. The leather has worn in so amazingly, that I forget I 'm wearing them sometimes. I have worn the soles down to being almost flat, now, and have swapped out insoles for some Meindl ones, but man, insoles only do so much. I wear these hiking, Jeeping, running errands, going outside in general, these are what I want on my feet. I have worn these at several jobs, ranging from my mechanic work, to the tarmac as ground crew for an airline, and they are still solid, no tears, rips, anything!( there is some stuffing from the belly of the airplanes when I was stuck on my knees, but it does matter to me, they still look great!) They are such amazing boots, that I base any other boot I try on them. And none have compared yet. You still debating whether to get them or not? Do you like/want to buy multiple pairs of the same boot, or have one that will last through the ages, and all the crazy in between? You wo n't regret these, I guarantee.

I expected a break- in period but these blacksmiths were comfortable out of the box. Soft but supportive and the fit was perfect for me. No chafing, roomy but not loose. The traction was good even in wet weather. And they are fine to wear even during hot and humid days where I live. Nice boots. I always order a wide in a cowboy boot and have several pairs of Rebels in wide. These are WIDE and the toe area is really, really tall. Like wiggle your toes and not touch the top tall. I am not sure why these fit so much different than all my other Rebels but they do. To solution, I added another insole on top of the non- removable insole already in the boot( this was also a first as all my other Rebels have a removable insole). I am still happy with them, but they certainly fit different. Additionally, they are substantially darker brown than the pictures would indicate. I hope this helps someone!

OMG it feels like I 'm walking on cloud in these bad boys. I bought a matching pair for my husband and he loves them as well. This is the best fitting boot i have ever had in my 54 years of living. Seriously. The boot is actually water- proof too. Only boot ive ever owned that i didnt have to put mink oil on or many other products ive tried and this boot is waterproof the moment you get it. Its lighter than any pair of tennis shoes which seams impossible, its true. Blows me away! And they last a year! The boot itself has practically made me it best salesman here in oklahoma.

Great boot that goes well with kakis or jeans or for hiking as well. Lightweight. Fits true to size. It wo n't feel like it when you first put then on, but they will stretch quickly. I bought my boots from the retail store. Salesman recommended that o went a full size smaller than my normal size and we confirmed via the thermal imaging in the store. I ’ ve worn these almost everyday for the past 6mos. However, I will say the break in period is serious, but I wasn ’ t expecting anything different from such a solid boot.

I listened to the advice of friends that said the break- in period was worth the end result, and they were right. For the first couple of weeks after wearing them all day my heels would hurt, but since I wore them everyday and broke them in as quickly as I could they are the most comfortable boots I 've ever had.

Bought 1907 ’s about 3 weeks ago. Break in is no joke. Wear them around or house or short trips to town for the first week. After the first week they started feeling better and now 3 weeks in I ’ m wearing them everyday. Feel great. The copper rough and tough was great visually for me, but they ’ re actually tough too. I ’ ve already accidentally scuffed them a few times, and it sort of just blends in with character. Don ’ t recommend them for marathons or hiking, but for normal daily work or just casual wear, I highly recommend. Sizing- get whatever feels snug, not tight enough to make your toes go numb. I ’ m almost just over 10. 5 on the Brannock. I got a 10 at the recommendation from the store. Should ’ ve done a 10. 5. The 10 ’s work but I prefer a looser fit. Will do a 10. 5 next time- yes I like them enough I ’ ll get another pair eventually to baby for only weekend wear.

I got a pair of these three years ago, and my relationship with them got off to a rough start. Full disclosure, I ’ ve recently come to realize my feet are unusually shaped — with protruding heals. That didn ’ t bode well for wearing these boots out of the box. They have triple- layered heals, which are quite rigid and caused me many blisters. Because of the blistering, I wore these seldomly and broke them in very slowly. Over time, however, they molded to my feet, and the heal area stretched out to accommodate my knobby heals. They ’ re now my favorite footwear, and truly a pleasure to wear. Was it worth all the pain? Considering I ’ ll have these boots for many years — if not decades — I say yes. The same tough leather and heavy- duty construction that made these so hard to break in will also make them last forever. In this day and age of cheap, mass- produced goods, it ’s nice to commit to something for the long- haul — even if it requires some sacrifice initially. I ’ m excited to keep wearing these boots, have them further mold to my feet, and keep adding patina to them.
