He has a similar version without the extra black textile on the side but they really stretched out. The black textile seems to help hold the shape of the shoe better than just suede. These are super comfortable and very lightweight for a mid hiking shoe. The outer is only slightly tougher than a normal running shoe, but waterproof. Of course the outsole is much grippier. Able to wear them traveling all day and be comfortable but they do make my feet sweat a lot. The green color is nice but impossible to keep clean. Had the normal one full day break- in period. This is my third pair and I keep coming back for them. They are rugged and durable and last a little over a year when used roughly for hiking, trail running and slogging through the mud. I compete with these a lot because they keep the water out( unless I go in the streams) and they hold up really well. The soles start to get thinner after 1. 5 years but I have n't found any others that hold up any better and still stay together like these Moab 3's.

The first pair I bought myself in 2014, side by side with their replacement that just arrived today. Pulled them out of the box and it was like meeting an old friend that hasn ’ t changed a bit. The fit and feel, perfection. Now, I literally hiked the soles off of the old pair. The toes cracked. Laces frayed but original. Should I have replaced them awhile ago- I did with the charcoal version. But kept these in my closet as a remembrance of my first pair of hikers that took me through the PCT AT. Thirty years ago I suffered a severe mid foot crush fracture which is now arthritic combined with areas of non- union. I have worn Morrell Moab 3 ’s for many years with orthotics and had the best support possible, but the antora has given me amazing pain free ambulation while walking our rural property and roads, as well as while shopping and walking the dogs. The shoes are lighter weight, still offer excellent support especially mid- foot, with quicker and easier breakover which makes an enormous difference to my gait and comfort. I want to start by saying that I have been a loyal follower and buyer of Salomon boots for as long as I can remember. For at least the past ten years, I have worn them every single day. I replace my boots annually—not because they wear out or break down, but simply because I love the feel of new boots. In fact, I still have all of my previous pairs, except my very first ones( which I should have kept as well). Each pair continues to serve me in different ways. When I first purchase a new pair, they become my work boots, while the older ones transition into hiking boots, allowing them time to break in naturally. After about six months, I begin using the newer boots for hiking, always carrying an extra pair in my pack in case I need to swap them out—usually due to an issue like water getting inside. Let me emphasize that under normal conditions, these boots do not get wet inside. However, if fully submerged underwater—which I have done on several occasions—they will absorb moisture. When this happens, I hang the wet boot on the outside of my pack to dry while I continue my journey. I can confidently say that Salomon makes outstanding boots. They have been an essential part of my adventures, and I highly recommend them. Great boots, great company, and great experiences with Salomon!

I really like these shoes! I use them for walking around town and some trail walking. I find them to be excellent in terms of support. The sole is hard but has great traction. I love this shoe for it's stability and outdoor- ability. I do a lot of walking, training and working outdoors, and need a shoe with fantastic support and stability due to a previous foot injury. The SFB is the bomb- totally fits the bill. It has a wide platform, is supportive but flexible once worn a couple of times and it's easy to clean. I have had some trouble with the rear of the shoe wearing out, and they are 'slick' before you wear them in, but these are minor things.

Vibram tech on the sole keeps you going strong on the most rugged terrain. The leather material keeps your feet dry and adds durability to the shoe, but it does not provide breathability like other materials. Great narrow profile easy on trails and if I need to climb or walk on rocks or boulders great positive feeling. If and when they get wet they dry fairly quick. I am hoping they keep making this model, since this has been around for a few years now.

These shoes are so comfortable! Cushioning without being sloppy, at least for me. As I do n't hike much these days, these are great for easy walks. I got a 10. 5 which fits me well, although I sometimes need an 11 in Merrell walking shoes. It does n't feel too big for me. It's my go anywhere shoe these days.

Been wearing these for one month+. So far they ’ re outstanding. My dog and I do 3. 5- 4 miles a day and in colder weather my favorite shoes are Columbia so I thought I would try these out. I have flat feet and I wear custom orthotics in all my shoes so I ’ m very picky. The Konos have great stability, super cushioning I have yet to come home with wet socks.
