Thirty years ago I suffered a severe mid foot crush fracture which is now arthritic combined with areas of non- union. I have worn Morrell Moab 3 ’s for many years with orthotics and had the best support possible, but the antora has given me amazing pain free ambulation while walking our rural property and roads, as well as while shopping and walking the dogs. I took these on my rafting trip down the GRAND CANYON. I brought them for the side hikes from the river. Which are usually washes with some water crossings. These shoes did so well! They have incredible traction for climbing over big rocks in dry washes, or on slick ledges. The traction is incredible! They were comfortable right off the go and my custom orthotics fit in then since they have a removable foot bed. I loved these boots on the trip! Completely waterproof over the foot but if water gets up to the mid part where the laces are water does come in. I am going to look for a goretex hiking gater for that.

This is my second pair of Konos TRS shoes and they are just as comfortable as the ones I bought last year. Taupe color is exactly as pictured and fits true to size. I 've walked trails and sidewalks in these shoes and have no foot pain and my feet stay put, no sliding in the shoe and no heel slips. Easy to clean up if they get dirty on a trail. This boot the sizing has changed slightly they are smaller in the toe box. I went with a half size larger but I probably could have stayed with my regular size 10 and just broke them in. They are to me a light version on the quest boots that are much heavier and clunck than these. I 've bought a few different salomon hiking boots over the years and you ca n't go wrong if you are a day hiker with these they are agile and do n't slip dry or wet they get the job done and protect your feet in every situation. Great shoe and Solid quality. Used daily for running and small trails. It ’s honestly my new favorite shoe. I wish they made them in more colors. I even purchased the all black for work as LEO and use them daily averaging 20- 25k steps a day. As someone with a history of foot problems, I have not experienced anything from these shoes that made the problems worse.
