These are great duffel bags! I ordered the red, green, and white ones. I ordered the small size, because I just need it for daily trips to the YMCA f and maybe for a day or two trip here or there. It will hold a pair of shoes and a basketball, my swimming gear, and a change of clothes no problem. I use the shoe garage for a basketball and put the shoes on the other side to get the extra room when carrying both. If you are looking to carry a lot more I 'd move up to the medium size which I purchased at first, but it was just to big for my needs. The small is perfect in my opinion. The red and white bags really pop, but that Oregon green really takes the take. The black option looks ok too, but I just like the other 3 colors better.

The Nouveau Green looks a little more teal in the photos, more dark green in real life. I wish the piping were n't chartreuse. But it's sturdy, amazing that it can fit in that small pocket, though I doubt I can get it all back in there. Expensive for what it does, but all recycled and Patagonia is a conscientious company. I bought the Pollinator Orange in person at a local store, after it being the one orange I was like `` maybe it's too bright..? '' In person, it is much more of a brighter burnt orange, and I was instantly in love. I was searching for a duffle for its soft body vs any other luggage to have something easy to pack( big and roomy) and easy to grab and carry( handles on the sides of this bag, the backpack straps, or top carry straps!). I do have one little gripe( not with the bag, but the packaging) You guys wrap all of the zippers in tape and paper, I 'm assuming to protect them from getting scratched. I love this bag so much I bought 3 for my family. We use it for one bag travel as a carry- on in the States& for overseas. It's so lightweight that we have n't ever reached the 10kg limit that European airlines have. We are usually around 7 to 9kg for 1 week plus of clothes. That includes 4 pairs of pants, 7 shirts, 3- 4 quarter zips, 7 socks/underwear, 2 pairs of shoes, 1 puffer jacket& toiletries. At 45L, it fits in the carryon bag checks. It can be pushed to fit. The end zip pocket is great to toss in phone, wallet, passport at security gates. Do n't really use the side zip pocket much, though there's a place for keys there. The water bottle pocket large enough for a 24 oz stainless bottle. The zippers are large& of very good quality. 2 handles on the ends are useful as well as the top straps which convert to backpack straps. The only thing that could be improved is to make the top of the backstraps a little wider. It's a bit narrow& can dig into the shoulder when we load up to 9kg. We have used these bags for 1 trip of 2 weeks in the UK& 1 trip of 2- 1/2 weeks on the continent, as well as several trips in the US.

I love how it rolls, I love the way it packs with two compartments on each side that help me organize my clothes. I love that there are handles in several places. I like the hard black back and the soft blue front with the straps. It's cool and hip. It's true that it does scuff a bit more than I 'd like. One trip and I have a scuff I ca n't get out. [ This is a very well made duffel. I love the colors, and it appears to be durable which I like. However the opening on the top is shaped in a way that it does n't stay open on its own. It does n't fold over nicely, instead every time you reach inside you have to use two hands, one hand to keep the top open and the other hand to get what you want.
