I wear these over my compression base layer. They are perfect lightweight fabric that is extremely stretchy while not getting heavy once saturated with sweat. They dont restrict movement at all. These are my new favorite running shorts. The length is just right. They are made a a material with a little stretch and allow free movement. Their front pockets are as roomy as they could be in a pair of running shorts. There is a zipped pocket on the right side big enough for car keys and a few run gels, gummies or waffle. The Vanish Woven shorts by UA are my go- to shorts for tennis, although I wear them very often casually as well. The six- inch inseam is a blessing as the longer shorts get stuck on my sweaty legs and, frankly, longer shorts look goofy on someone my age. I have been wearing UA shorts throughout the 2000's, but the Vanish Woven are the most comfortable by far. I can stick a ball in the pocket when serving or rallying, and they do n't feel different. They dry quickly on most days, and do n't droop with sweat on the most humid days. They also wash very well. I 'm glad to add a printed version to my collection. My oldest Vanish Woven is just a few months old. These are made very well( like my previous UA shorts-- some still in action for lawn work, etc.), so I have no doubts they will have great longevity.

They also have a small zip pocket on the hip so you can store a key, ring, or other small items. The only thing with these shorts that was odd is just how long the drawstring is. Each draw string has to be at least 12inches long so tying them up is required when wearing them.

The shorts are very comfortable and fit just as I like them, not too tight and fall around the knee( I am 5 ’ 8 ” and about 155, medium). They don ’ t ride down my legs when doing sit- ups which happens with looser shorts. The one small criticism I have is the false fly in front. Not a big fan but also not a big deal. They ’ re great and they are my favorite shorts for the gym.

I find the 7 ” inseam to be perfect for showing a bit of thigh but not feeling like it is too short that I need to pull my shorts down on my hips. My favorite for trail runs and hikes. The length to mid knee is perfect. I sized one up because I like shorts with some room, but even so they have what I 'd call a `` normal '' fit. I do like the sized up fit though, very comfortable. The fabric has a nice texture, feels durable. The thigh pocket just barely fits my phone. The zippered back pockets were a good idea.
