I was hesitant to spend so much on a pair of running shoes, but with the 2025 Tokyo Marathon on my calendar, I thought I 'd take the plunge. I really like the EVO SL and the density of the foam and heard the EVO was simlar. And it is. Not squishy like the Pro 4( which I did n't like). Amazing rocker. Nice lockdown even for my narrow foot( although I had to wear a thicker sock). It's a tad slippery on wet surfaces, I tripped on some wet stairs on the way to the start, but the weather was sunny and hot so no issues on the course( water stops were okay for the most part). I 'm running the 2025 Berlin Marathon and plan to use these again, and have a couple other marathons I might break these out. I think I can get 3- 4 marathons in on these as there's barely any wear after Tokyo( I 'm 5'10 '' and 130 lbs so that might have something to do with it).

It took me a little bit to become accustom to the foam but after breaking them in, I have zero complaints. I even bought myself a second pair in a different color to avoid running them to the ground. They are great for everyday runs, my longer runs are 10 miles or less so I ca n't comment on the functionality of these shoes for the people that run marathons.

The EVO SL has become my all- time favorite running shoe. It does everything well from faster efforts to easy efforts. The foam is incredible and gets better the more you wear the shoes. It's peppey on faster efforts, yet has just enough softness on easier runs. My only minor complaint is the tongue- it is a bit short and could be gussetted. Wider laces on the next version would be great too, but no need to change anything else. Now, Adidas, make a few other color options besides white and black in women's please!

I am a traditional 2- 4E width and it makes finding quality running shoes difficult. The better performing shoes seem to never come in wide widths. This is why I was shocked when I tried on the Boston 12. They were a little tight, but by far the widest non- wide size shoe I put on my feet. I ’ m 6 ’ 5 ” and 240, so most shoes don ’ t agree with me. They usually bottom out, but I took these on a 9 mile recovery run and my feet didn ’ t hurt at all. I can ’ t wait to try a tempo run in them, but I already love the shoe! Keep making great shoes and keep making them wide in the forefoot! Love these shoes!
