I was hesitant to spend so much on a pair of running shoes, but with the 2025 Tokyo Marathon on my calendar, I thought I 'd take the plunge. I really like the EVO SL and the density of the foam and heard the EVO was simlar. And it is. Not squishy like the Pro 4( which I did n't like). Amazing rocker. Nice lockdown even for my narrow foot( although I had to wear a thicker sock). It's a tad slippery on wet surfaces, I tripped on some wet stairs on the way to the start, but the weather was sunny and hot so no issues on the course( water stops were okay for the most part). I 'm running the 2025 Berlin Marathon and plan to use these again, and have a couple other marathons I might break these out. I think I can get 3- 4 marathons in on these as there's barely any wear after Tokyo( I 'm 5'10 '' and 130 lbs so that might have something to do with it).

Love these Adidas Alphbounce slides. Have had four pairs of Adidas slides prior to these. These fit the best, have the best velcro strap and have the best cushioning. Last pair I had was the Adisage which did n't work because the velcro strap didnt fasten tight enough on my feet. This is a beautiful shoe and comfortable; but the shoelaces are horrible. They are a round cord rather than a flat lace. They come untied immediately or sooner. Adidas should have given these a bungee cord closure. I had to get regular white shoelaces to replace the rounded cord. Hard to believe Adidas did n't realize how useless those corded laces are.
