I got this for my 11 yr old( last fall) who plays rec ball. He really likes to swing a one piece and this bat has been his overall favorite. I do n't want to try and compare it to others but after spending this much$ on a bat, I 'm always looking for feedback from him to know if it was a good/bad purchase. It's so well balanced and his hand/eye coordination are so good, he rarely misses( he likes to strike out looking not swinging). The grip is sticky, and the ping of the bat is deafening. When we 're at the indoor cages, it's really easy to find him simply due to the ear shattering noise this bat makes. He's probably hit 500- 600 baseballs with it on a pitching machine@ ~60mph and there's no damage to the bat at this time.

However apparently it is a high school size bat and he was not able to use it. So we decided to just play around and hit some balls in the back yard with it. It feels great in the hands, the weight is good. Contact with the ball feels and sounds solid and doesn ’ t transfer too much shock to the hands. Takes me back to my younger days when baseball was my sport, and I was darn good at it. These days my idea of an extreme sport is just trying to stand up straight before I ’ ve had an hour or two to limber up after getting out of bed in the morning. Might drop it off at the local high school and see if anyone is in need of a good bat, or maybe just a practice bat for the coach to use.
