VERY wide and boxy. I checked the size chart and ordered the 2x, which matched my chest and waist measurements. I ordered the matching tencel hoodie a size smaller in an xl. The t- shirt is way too big, especially in the width. When it says `` loose fit, '' it's not kidding. I returned and recorded a size down, but considered ordering two sizes down. I have three of these shirts and I like them in the lighter colors for sun protection without being hot and also in cooler weather as a light base layer. I 'm 5' 7 '' and 155 lbs and the medium fits just right without being tight at all. I hate tight shirts.

[ Not quite the perfect fit for my girlfriend, but she says they are very comfortable. We also like that they are machine washable, unlike most heavyweight layers with merino wool. And for the price( around 50% or less the cost of other heavyweight layers) you ca n't beat it!
