This is a great Rumpl blanket, but I was shocked at how much cooler the color combo was than the initial photo of the blanket. I have used my Vesper 0 deg quilter for a month of camping on BC ’s Sunshine Coast and northmost Vancouver Island. It was comfortable through a wide range of sweltering +30 deg heat, raining/ foggy chill( 4 deg) and even sleeping inside my vehicle. It handled humidity from damp rainforests and condensation from sleep. It dried quickly from one inadvertent wetting. What a super quilt! I was nervous using a quilt in cold weather, but this true 15oz quilt proved its worth. I backpacked up and over Mt. Harvard and Mt Bedford, CO in Sept. The temp in the evening was solid 32, and I was never cold. I also used the Therma Rest xtherm max 7. 3R pad. The draft collar works great, along the neck and on the sides. The quirks are that the straps are a balance between preserving overall lightweight, but comprising slightly on keeping the sides closed to drafts, I wish they would allow the sides to be pulled in more. The other quirk is that the tab to keep the top closed around your neck is also a bit weak at times.

[ I 've been using evac compression bags for awhile, the new UL ones are great for backpacking and using in your backpack but they can be a bit fragile this Heavy Duty version is excellent. It's super water resistant having used it on bikepacking trips in rain and mud my gear stayed bone dry inside. It's very durable meaning you can strap it right to your bike or whatever your needs may be without worry of wear and tear. The new style closure system with buckles on one side makes opening and closing super quick and efficient which is great for when you get to camp late. Two people lying down fit great to picnic prior to the concert, and then it held up well as we stood on it throughout the entire 3 hour concert. [ I purchased one of each of these packs for my daughter and son in law for Christmas because they are frequent travelers who like to contain their luggage to carry ons and a backpack each, especially when traveling internationally. They also go skiing a couple times a year and on that trip they have to pack very bulky jackets, ski pants, sweaters and lots of layers of clothes. They have not traveled with them yet, but they did do an experiment with stuffing one of them and they were amazed at what they were able to pack and how small they were to shrink the sack down to! [ I was tired of bringing the world with me to the beach. This blanket is lightweight and I love how it folds into the attached pocket. In the past I would have a beach towel, or two, a blanket for the sand and other miscellaneous stuff. It adds up and makes getting to the beach a chore. If any sand ends up on the blanket it ’s easy to lift up and the sand slides right off.

[ One thing about blankets is that they are normally too bulky, but this one folds back up and stores in a small space, which I love. The color is good for outdoor use, and it is soft and comfy. Good buy!

[ I bought this product recently and have been so happy with it! My family used it recently for an outdoor picnic and we all loved it! The waterproof underside helped keep all our bottoms dry while sitting in the grass, and the blanket kept down while we were eating. The fabric was a bit hot for a summer day, but we still enjoyed in nonetheless. My kids even decided it was a mattress and napped on it outside after finishing the picnic. It took me a few times to be able to roll it back up properly but all in all this was a great product and we loved it! I started bringing it to the park for my baby when my kids are playing soccer so he can crawl around and he loves to sit and play on it! I wish it was washable!
