The size is perfect with a small squid strip on a# 4 hook. I was pulling up sand dabs nonstop. The only ones I lost were getting torn off by a pesky seal. Otherwise, at the end of the day I was still able to remove the grubs for re- use.

Bought these for Crappie, but I have found they have been equally if not more deadly on Bluegill. I always tip any Crappie Jig with one of these, and they seem to get more bites. When the fish are finicky, these on a bare# 8 hook are killer on Bluegill.
