I became interested in this style of boot due to me having bad/weak ankles. considering that im very active, i needed the support. i first tried the justin and after the second time of wearing them, quickly realized they were too stiff and too heavy and went to my local supply and tried on the georgia. i 've gone through three pair of which were each resouled atleast once and now about to pull the trigger on a fourth. with each pair, once broken in, feel like a pair of house slippers. as mentioned by others, the lether on the last two pair do seem to be a bit harder than previous. overall, i 'll have to give them a two thumbs up.

I 've been buying these boots to wear for my landscaping business for as long as I can remember.( over 15 years?) They are comfortable after a day of brake in. I apply one coat of weather seal when I buy them. I wear them over 12 hours a day and they last about 6 to 8 months. I like that they are n't steel toes, and that the tread on the sole does n't disturb the soil very much, but has good traction. I like to buy two at a time so I can alternate wearing them. I have bought them for my helpers too.

I already own these boots without the safety toe and love them. These are no different aside of the break- in period. The non- steel toe were like house slippers from day one. These have taken a few weeks of wear to soften up and I am still having an issue with my left boot, but the right is great. They are extremely comfortable and easy to stand on most of the day. They run perfect to size and the steel toe is not invasive like other brands I have tried. I work in an environment that has a number of silicone based chemicals on the floor and it is slippery, but not in these boots! I have not even come close since I started wearing them. Safety and comfort--- SOLD!

I keep them on a boot dryer at night to keep them dry. I work in the Dairy industry and walk through manure and chemicals, it is a very wet environment. I have gone through Red Wings and other carhartt boots that only last 6- 8 months. In short, thee boots are worth every penny. Wish I could get a pair with more insulation though.

The Rocky Rider Lacer boot is the most versatile footwear you can buy for outdoor activities. They combine rugged construction with great comfort. I almost exclusively wear 8 ”- 10 ” work boots; it drives my wife nuts. I own many different brands and try to keep with US made products. This USA Georgia Boot Logger is built like a dang tank, but rides or feels like a Cadillac once broken in. The comfort core footbed is different for sure, but it is very comfortable. Because they ’ re multiple layers of leather, break in does take some time, but it ’s not terrible. I do own 3 pairs of this boot and rotate them out. Boot is very stable and have great traction and grip. I do wear other brands too, but this boot seems to be one of my go to, for sure. Georgia Boot knocked it out of the park with this one. The first thing you notice when you unbox your boots it the strong smell of real quality leather. I was immediately in the mood for a good Maduro cigar and a glass of my favorite Islay whisky. Following that, you peel back the paper and see the true color of these boots in your chosen color. I picked copper rough and tough. The photos do not truly demonstrate it's color but, there are some hints of the color in the photos. It has a richness and variation of color that is amazing in person. Since most stores do not stock these, it is a bit of a leap of faith but, it is well worth it. I had to size them down one half of a size. They do not come in a wide width at this time and I measure for a wide shoe but, already on the second day, they were loosened up enough that I have no trouble now. I would recommend wearing them around the house one day with two pairs of socks on. You 'll be surprised how quickly they break in if you do n't mind doing that for a day. Based on the described construction of the boot, when you receive the box, you may be surprised that it does n't weight several more pounds. It's not a very heavy boot even with the extra stitching and quality leather. Wearing it around the house and then later out on the street, it will continue to break in and loosen up. The break in is not bad at all. I would compare the break in to any other quality leather dress shoe that is American made. I felt an improvement in just a day and it will get better everyday for two weeks. The shape and style of the boot are clean and simple yet rugged. I believe this could easily sneak into a business casual realm if needed, especially on colder inclement days. The oil resistant soles have good traction on most surfaces so far. I have another pair of boots with deeper heavier tread for working around the house so, this pair probably wont see as much winter time work. They did get puked on by the kid last night and after that I walked through some mud right after getting out of the truck. It all seemed to wipe off and reminded me to invest in the protectant. I 'll be ordering that soon. If you buy cheap boots that are n't real leather, crack, fall apart or generally wear out every year or two, I would advise you to take a trip to the store, make the investment now and after you break in your new boots, you can decide for yourself.

Just received my Copper Blacksmiths today and after a quick application of oil, I 've been wearing them most of the afternoon and evening. Incredibly comfortable from the start( apart from being a little stiff) and the leather is a beautiful sight, changing colour and tone with each movement of the foot. As the other reviews seem to agree the laces seem a little short and I did n't go a size down as I 've pretty wide feet. This means they 're maybe a touch long but great on the width.

I had never bought a `` casual '' pair of boots before especially taken a leap of faith since they cost much more than I wanted to spend, but after about 2 years of wearing these for work/play/casual in all types of weather every other day, if not everyday, the comfort alone has been more than worth it. They seem to be a size smaller than normal size. I have always wore a 9 1/2 in all my shoes and boots but they seem to fit like an 8 1/2. Needed a new pair of steel or composite toe work boots so went to a Bass Pro Shop on a specific mission for Keen boots. Wore non- ST Keens years ago and always like the look so thought I 'd try the ST version. Unfortunately Keen now runs wide and were exceptionally heavy... disappointing. Carhart,( or as we say in the northeast- Cah- haht) Millbrook CT was the clear winner both in price, comfort, and cool ol' school look. I prefer a boot that hugs the foot( see prior reviews) so this was perfect for me and very comfortable immediately. You 'll notice the single lace hook at the top so 95% full lace support is excellent, unobtrusive, and again, sooo comfortable. The first pair lasted for about a year and a half.( I work at a power plant that has a lot of construction going on) They are very comfortable to wear all day long. I work 10 hour shifts with no problems. I am flat- footed, so finding good work boots was important to me. These get the job done without my feet hurting. It took only a day or so to break them in. NOT these however I 've had them for over two years and the only thing that's worn out is the insoles but that's a easy fix now here I am 3 years into them and they Are only now starting to ware thin and losing their integrity.

Love the boot so far. The composite toe is definitely lighter than the steel toe but they are comfortable right from the get go! I made the mistake of getting a half size bigger since my normal size is always a little tight with the thicker socks in the winter so theyre definitely too loose on my feet. I shouldve stuck with my regular size. Oh and the zipper on the back is pretty sweet too. Definitely makes it very easy to slip on!

I think I may have ordered a half size too small, the toes on my right foot feel a little crowded. It could also be that I am used to square toe boots, but all around they seem like a solid set of boots. The tread is good, the stitching seems tough, and the zipper on the back is a nice touch for making the boots easier to get on and off. It 'll be interesting to see how that holds up to flexing though. So far so good!

I 've owned these boots for 10yrs and wear them up to 26 hrs. They have seen foundry atmosphere to 2ft of Wisconsin snow. Finally going to hang them up for the soles basically talk now and stitching is starting to fail on sides. Only complaint is inner web for insoles could be filled, last few yrs been using gel inserts that fill the holes. Thanks for a great boot
