I bought this primarily for catfish and toothy fishy as a way to get a good grip without getting poked. So far it works well and I 've had no issues with the quality. Largest fish it's had on was only about 3 pounds so far, so we 'll have to see if it can hold up to a monster. But I like that it floats, is simple to operate and does n't injure/harm the fish in any way.( I only catch and release regardless of species and size. So that's important to me.)

So far I have used these culltags 3 times with no issues. I have used cheaper culltags from rapala that came with my touchscreen scale, as well as bass pro shops tags, and both broke quickly on me. These appear to be holding up well.

I have used many types of culling tags and the new Rapala tags are the best of the lot. They open up very easy and safely secure each bass in a humane manner. And I have yet to see a bass come lose from a tag. Also, they are both numbered and colored coded!

Bought this product for toothed fish primarily. Worked great right off the bat. Caught a 10lb baby northern pike. Handling was easy and much less stress on the fish than handling by hand alone. It grips very well and releases smooth with just the right amount of tension. As for both lanyards it comes with, it is perfect length for the corded to be attached at waist level. The magnetic one you can attach anywhere that is comfortable and easy reach that is out of the way. The magnet also is strong enough that if your within a 6 inch area of the attached magnet, it will start drawing together. Magnet is very secure with no issues of it easily detaching. It just takes a simple deliberate pull and it's ready to use. I did pick up a second one. One is attach to my spyder tackle bag to the shoulder strap attachment point and the other is attached to my fishing vest using 2 different point for ergonomics, ease of use, and out of the bloody way from fishing. It is worth every penny. Plus you can use the handle for an attachment point for a digital scale with a hook. It is light weight and easy enough to offset your scale for a accurate fish reading. The handle is ergonomic, very easy, and comfortable to use. Almost impossible not to have a secure grip while handling any fish. The size is perfect. It's not bulky. Trigger can be easily with just 1 finger. It can be used all sorts of fish( big, small, toothed, and aggressive type fish).
