I received my rod with one guide damaged( bent, with the insert ring ready to pop out) due to poor packaging for shipping. The rod was taped to the inside of a floppy, poorly constructed triangular box that looked like a gorilla had stepped on it. A cardboard rod tube would have been a logical shipping container choice. I managed to repair the damaged guide and noticed that the action of the rod is labeled MHF. I feel the action is a little on the lighter side though. More like a Medium Action. It's a beautiful rod and very lightweight and comfortable in the hand. For the price, you ca n't go wrong.

Alot of complaints about the eyes not holding up but I have n't had any issues yet. On the website it says that it is `` Fast, '' but in the store, they only carry Moderate Fast, which I had no problem with; I actually prefer moderate fast. Now, throughout my time fishing with this, I can say I love this rod. It is absolutely fantastic and SUPER sensitive. I was feeling every stick, rock, fish, etc. that my bait was hitting. This rod allows me to cast very accurately and I have seen an increase on my casting distance, as well. The website for Dick's and Lew's specified that this is a saltwater rod when in reality it really does n't matter. The only difference is that this has stainless steel eyelets, which are really great because they will not rust. I main bass fishing and needed a good rod that was super sensitive and all I can say this rod exceeded my expectations. Also, I can assure you it is durable because I got stuck in a couple of bushes and bent the crap out of the rod to see how durable it was- it held up very very nicely. Along with that, I caught a 9lbs bass that put up a really good fight. I highly recommend this rod to anyone who is pretty serious about fishing. I absolutely love this rod!

Had the high school state bass tournament last weekend and needed new baitcasters. I picked up two rods- one each of us( my son is 13). Long story short- the kids fished great and finished one position out from a 4 figure payday, while competing against almost 200 other highschoolers. Rods/reels worked great! We fished shorelines that had a weed edge 15' off shore and had to pull almost every bass through the weeds to get them in the boat. Everyone loves the colors. I like how well they fish.

Great rod for 99 bucks, I purchased the 7ft medium action which has great sensitivity with 36 ton graphite, metal locking nut and the trigger is very comfortable to fish with. I personally like the carbon fiber reel butt a lot, which is very nice looking and adds to the lightness of the rod. Nice lightweight rod especially paired up with my JDM Metanium. Can cast lighter lures easily if paired up with the right reel. I was able to cast smaller swimbaits which I usually use my spinning rod for. Loved it so far hoping it holds up well.
