Good for the cold of course and I like this cap better than the knit caps. Those seem to pull on someone ’s hair more than this one. Grey is good for wearing blue or black with as well.

The lining will 99% block the wind from the top of your ears up. But since the lining stops there, When I rolled the sides down to cover my ears, it allowed wind( and cold) to hit my ears. Kind of defeats my purpose for buying. I will keep it as a back up to my other MH cap that has lining all the way to below my ears that I love.

[ This is still my favorite hat and has been for 10+ years. I have 4 of them in different colors for working outside on my farm, trail running, hiking and just going out. They never get smelly, i wash and hang dry( less frequently than i probably should) and they hold up to quite a bit of abuse. Very packable and keeps me warm even when soaked through.
