I ’ ve only used a blade style putter but wanted to try a mallet style for more forgiveness and a different length. I needed an inexpensive mallet which this fit the bill. Only been able to try it on a putting mat, however, it feels great like it could be 2- 3x the price. Again hard to compare to my blade( Odyssey white hot og 1ws) but insert is great maybe a smidge firmer then the white hot insert if at all. Alignment feature is great. Only thing to knock is the head cover is very basic/cheap looking but does its job and is a good fit. Have a feeling this is kicking my much more expensive Odyssey out of the bag!

Got the original PLD Anser 2 and played and loved it for a year or so... i never thought i 'd part with this putter. Just rolled the Anser D. The looks are stunning but I was blown away by the feel of this putter. It's amazing in every way. Graphite shaft is new to me but i am really liking it. I have always loved the shape of the Anser 2. Now I 've converted to the wide blade and I ca n't go back. Both excellent putters... for me the Anser D is superior in looks and especially feel. Happy hunting!

I was in a golf store to buy some shoe spikes and a couple grips. The last thing on my mind was leaving with a new high priced putter, but I stopped by the putting room to roll a few for fun. Grabbed the usual Scotty, rolled a few with a couple others and then grabbed a PLD Anser 2 that caught my eye. I fell in love and bought it. I own 17 putters and rotate through them, never making up my mind to stick with any one of them... until now. I 've played about eight rounds with it and hours on the practice green. I ca n't put it down. The feel is amazing. I have never felt another putter that has this feel. It's just quality and inspires confidence. It's soft, but not white insert no feel kind of soft. More like how a muscle back feels when you hit it pure, only easy to make great contact. I 'm thinking about listing a bunch of putters on ebay because I ca n't imagine ever putting with anything else. For the first time in 40 years of playing golf, the only thing I feel like blaming for a missed putt is a bad read. This putter is perfect.

I saw this on sale at Golf Galaxy and picked it up. I figured I 'd use it as another putting tool when not using my 8' x 1' putting mat, raised ramp hole, etc... I 've tried to replace it over the years, but every putter that improved my midrange putting killed my lag putting and resulted in worse overall putting stats... until I tried the Scottsdale B63. It's the first putter I 've used that I can hit midrange putts with and lag putt with. I 've had the best putting rounds of my life since moving to the B63. Over the course of three rounds, I 've only three putt once and have averaged just over 1. 5 putts/hole- excellent numbers for me. I have been struggling with finding a putter that felt natural for my stroke instead of manufacturing a stroke to fit the putter. I have currently 2 well know putters and the starting letters are L and the other S. Great putters and work for a lot of players but didn ’ t for me. But this putter and I bonded like a wand in Harry Potter. The fit was perfect for me. With that said I did try the array of Spider putters. But this model and particular neck and color of head and kbs shaft all come together. Others may like the other neck or model offerings and try them cause what I discovered is the neck played a big roll in how you I hit the ball. A slightly open toe hang wasn ’ t for me and an other face balance weren ’ t either. So give them a try and get a fitting. The Super Stroke Pistol GT 1. 0 was also the right choice too.

Since the mid- 90s, my primary flatstick has been an Answer 2 BeCu. I lag great with it, but struggle in the 5'- 10' range. I 've tried to replace it over the years, but every putter that improved my midrange putting killed my lag putting and resulted in worse overall putting stats... until I tried the Scottsdale B63. It's the first putter I 've used that I can hit midrange putts with and lag putt with. I 've had the best putting rounds of my life since moving to the B63. Over the course of three rounds, I 've only three putt once and have averaged just over 1. 5 putts/hole- excellent numbers for me. I do n't know if it's the shape or the insert or whatever other technology is in the Scottsdale putters, but this one works for me.

Went to the local golf galaxy, and tried around 20 putters. Lab, Scotty Select, Phantoms, Sik( LA), Odyssey, Evnroll, Taylor ’s, everything. This putter is absolutely pure! The feel off the face is crisp and very responsive. You can definitely tell when you hit the center but it also performs extremely well on slight miss hits. The long sight lines and angled cuts on the head make alignment very easy! The short slant neck on this putter is also done perfectly; and if you have a slight arc to your stroke, this thing will basically swing itself. It also does n't hurt that it looks stunning! If any golfer( recreational, serious or pro) was ever psycho- analyzed our obsessive compulsiveness would be a common thread. Buying golf clubs is never a one- and- done. It ’s a continuous process and putters in particular are our kryptonite. While I still have a Golden Ram blade from the ‘ 60 ’s my grandfather gave me( and I putt well with it), I ’ ve matriculated to the original Ping, Callaway and a half dozen others. I putt reasonably well with all of them but in watching Scottie and Rory using the Spider Tour, it sparked an urge to get one. Boy am I glad. While I ’ ve described what I have and have had and am reasonably good with them, the Spider is unbelievably better. Even my golf buddies noticed. And…the ultimate compliment is when two of the guys showed up with Spider TourX also. It has an uncommon solid feel. The Strike plate allows for a ridiculously light touch but with enough mass behind to feel confident in my short and long putts. I ’ ve never paid much attention to the gimmicky Line- up plates and lines in other putters, but for whatever reason, the Spider TourX is very natural and my backstrokes are smoother. I liked it so much I bought one for my son also. Skip the trial and error we all go through. Just do what the pro ’s do and get a Spider.
