Good unit. Nice tig welds on the hooks that allow you to open up the top almost as if it was on a hinge and let it hang on the griddle itself. It also serves as a nice wind block as well.

Bought an after market lid, cost about the same. But I noticed this version has a slight incline which would help. If the quality of the stainless is the same, I will buy it for my next camp chef.

We have our griddle under roof, but this is still necessary to keep it clean in between uses. It is handy and does the trick. The hooks are a nice feature to let you hang it from the back of the grill when you are using the grill, so it is out of the way.
