I ’ m 5 ’ 6 ”, 160lbs with most of the weight carried in my thighs, so I often have trouble finding shorts that don ’ t squeeze too much and don ’ t ride up. These were long enough that they grabbed my thigh at the narrowest part by the knee, and didn ’ t ride up because of the nonslip band around the leg opening. These have a mid rise, which is not what I normally go for because I ’ m afraid they will fall down, but these stayed put! I got a size M for reference.

The leg grippers stay put no mater how sweaty you get. The padding is light, which is expected, but so comfortable and wicks the sweat away. It's also actually cut for a woman's body and does n't feel like someone trimmed down the men's and called it a day. The waist comes up a bit higher but not too high and stays put.
