I was not a huge fan of the low rise versions for coverage reasons and upon trying these on I fell in love. They have slightly more coverage, are super lightweight, beautiful colors, and they are great for strength training and running. Overall a great purchase for the spring/ summer. I ’ d recommend going a size up because they do fit slightly small but also because of the slit in the leg it would be easy to get away with going true to size if you are fine with a tighter waist band.

These shorts helped a lot with my 2 hour bike ride this weekend—no discomfort at all! I was also pleased with the fit. I ’ m 5 ’ 6 ”, 160lbs with most of the weight carried in my thighs, so I often have trouble finding shorts that don ’ t squeeze too much and don ’ t ride up. These were long enough that they grabbed my thigh at the narrowest part by the knee, and didn ’ t ride up because of the nonslip band around the leg opening. I didn ’ t have high hopes for these( tbh i never buy nike because i just assume they dont make good running gear) but the magenta color short was calling for me. I sized up to a M even though the size chart says I should be a S, but i ’ m glad i sized up. These are EXCELLENT running shorts. The waist did n't fold over, even when i was sitting down. They did n't slide down during my 4 miles run/walk. I dont think i had to adjust the legs or pull the waist up even one time. There ’s no seem at the leg opening so i had NO chafing. I have always been a 6 ” inseam bike short gal, but i will be buying more 8 ” inseam shorts because of these. I want them in more colors! I think the only downside is that the side pockets are kind of small. I have the iPhone 13 mini, and it fits, but i dont think any larger of a phone could fit. The pockets are an appropriate size for gels, energy bars, etc. but definitely not the iphone pro max lol. Overall great running short!
