Running around, prepping for trip, they kept my feet warm and dry in negative temps and snow. Standing for 4+ hours at a time, no problem. These were the only shoes I took on my 7- day trip: walking, hiking, ice, snow, rain, airports, shopping on cobblestone streets- you name it, I did it and my feet felt great. Fortunately I did not experience standing in deep snow or excessive rain, so I ca n't speak to how waterproof they are in extreme climates- but the limited rain and snow I encountered my feet stayed dry. OBSESSED is an understatement for these shoes! I absolutely love these boots, they are so comfortable. I got them for a few hiking trips I had coming up and they did not disappoint. No breaking in necessary ready to wear right out of the box. My old Merrill ’s were bulky and heavy but these are so comfortable and light. Did an 8 to 10 mile hike in them back to back no problem. I love these Merrells. They are sturdy, stable and feel like a running shoe. This is my 3rd pair. I have these also in a wide and is a low quarter version. I use them for hiking, dog walking in the rain and snow and walking around our land. I have used them in pouring rain and my feet stayed dry. I dont think they are sturdy enough for heavy backpacking but for a light day pack, no problem. Size wise I usually wear a 9. 5 in running and training shoes and I ordered a 10 in these and they were good. I prefer the wide version though as it gives me just a bit more toe box room, not necessarily extra width but roomier. I am hoping these will break in enough to be as comfortable as the wider version. But a great comfortable boot overall.

[ These are sturdy enough for light hiking and lightweight enough that I wear them everywhere, all the time. The toe box is spacious enough to accommodate my weird feet, and the inserts and good enough that I do n't have to replace them with orthotic- wear type insoles. The color fades quickly, but who cares? I have a sort of weird gait, so I wear down the outside of the heel sooner than I would like, but that happens with all my shoes. I do n't think it's a durability fault, because most of the sole retains its tread.

This is my second pair of Konos TRS shoes and they are just as comfortable as the ones I bought last year. Taupe color is exactly as pictured and fits true to size. I 've walked trails and sidewalks in these shoes and have no foot pain and my feet stay put, no sliding in the shoe and no heel slips. Easy to clean up if they get dirty on a trail. Suggestions: wear ankle socks the first couple wears to break them in, I wore no- shows the first wear and had some uncomfortable rubbing on my achilles till about the 3rd wear.

I wear them as daily shoes and they have excellent traction in all the wet and slick spots that are pretty common this time of year. They ’ re very breathable shoes, so much so that my feet have been getting a little cold when wearing them outside in the frigid temps here in the midwest. That being said, the memory foam in insoles of the shoes make these super comfortable on my feet when I ’ m going for walks and little treks around the neighborhood. I can ’ t wait to wear these out on my next hiking adventure to really test out their comfort and durability. For now though, I love these shoes!
