So I wore them all day and even this am to walk the dog. I 've been trying to find good 'intermediate' boots for snowshoeing for over a year. I bought several pairs and returned them all. These are exactly what I was looking for. They are waterproof, warm, and have stiff enough uppers for cinching down snowshoe bindings. They also have great tread and decent edging ability on hard, steep snow when not using snowshoes. They 're much lighter and less expensive than technical mountaineering boots, which were the only other good option I could find.

[ I am an avid hiker and typically put nearly 60 miles in each month. It has been a challenge to find a comfortable yet durable hiking shoe. These boots run true to size and they provide great ankle support and amazing comfort and I 'm hoping they 'll last a long time. I tested them on a trail that runs near a creek and I was able to stabilize myself on the rocks in the creek bed to see if they provide good grip and they do provide good traction.
