They are waterproof and best of all they are cool during the hot summers of south Louisiana because of their breathability properties. The boots are great! Handled spring time in Colorado so raining, ice, sleet and then snow all in one day. I mucked horse stalls and had very warm feet while doing that chore. [ I bought these for ice fishing. I needed a boot to be super warm& waterproof. Something that will still feel warm at 50mph and subzero air. These totally fit the bill. Very comfortable. The `` Boa system '' is really cool. Instead of leather or cotton laces, it's a wire system that tightens up to your comfort when you twist the button on the front. When you want `` out '' you pull the button out and the tongue loosens right up. Very convenient. I would recommend this boot for mostly active activities. I 'd to walk miles in them they are so comfortable, they also feel very sturdy and supportive which you 'd want in an ice fishing boot.

The other day I wore these shoveling snow and the wind chill was 38 below zero and my feet were not cold!!! I did n't even have on wool socks, just regular simple athletic socks. I ’ m a hairstylist and on my feet basically 24/7, I actually wear these to work pretty often bc they ’ re so comfortable( with my specialty inserts for super high arches) and they are awesome! I have these in tan and black, my absolute go- to winter boot. I do not wear socks, I just step in and go, leaving the laces loose. They fit perfectly with skinny jeans, rolled up flannel lined jeans, my athleta jeggings, and there is no more comfortable boot I 've ever owned, and that list includes the Ugg Adirondack III. I do n't go trapsing through my wet backyard or deep snow in these, though I have shoveled my walkway in them( I live an hour north of NYC), but for fall or winter lunch dates, absolutely. These boots are exactly what I 've been looking for! I live in the Cascade Mountains and walk around town in the snow and ice every single day. So far, the traction, warmth, and waterproofing of these shoes has been elite. I have tested these out for hours out on icy and snowy sidewalks, trails, and roads with no issues. I have yet to use them for snowshoeing, but I am looking forward to that as well. They are extremely comfortable and cute, which is a bonus. Where I live( Washington DC) we do n't get crazy amounts of snow, but we will have the occasional winter storm and get 6- 10 inches or so. I needed a boot to keep my feet warm and dry when I walk my dog, run errands, etc. But I did n't need super heavy duty boot to shovel snow in. I chose this because I liked that the shaft was n't too high, so I could still wear it with most of my pants. We just had a winter storm. The snow was deep enough that it covered my entire boot and yet they kept my feet SUPER warm and I did n't feel slippery when walking on ice. The waterproof material kept my feet dry, and they are also SUPER CUTE! I am a true 7. 5( according to the size chart; my feet are 24 cm), but I still ordered a size 8 based on reviews saying it ran small, and I think I made the right decision. I think if I ordered my exact size I would n't have room to wear thick socks.

I read some mixed reviews regarding sizing, so I felt that it was helpful to focus on that for others that are unsure. I am a true 6. 5. I ordered a 6. 5 and they are correct from toe to heel- not much extra room, but pretty standard sizing. I do, however, have slightly wider feet and I find the boots to be very snug. I think they will break in nicely, but be aware that they will feel tight if you have wider feet. Overall I like the show!

Very comfortable. I was surprised by how comfortable they felt when putting them on. Only downside is they are a bit challenging getting them on. It gets easier as you wear them. All in all it's a very solid, comfy alternative. They are not as hard or clunky as you would think. I will probably get the hunter green pair and another pair of the Black ones. I love them.

If you 're need is to do delicate footwork in steep or awkward terrain these are not the boots for you. But, if you 're spending a lot of time working outside in Wyoming in winter in snow, on ice, and in the very special kind of mud we have up here, they are stellar. I had a little break in period to soften up the ankles a little. They are warm, without heavy socks, even in sub- zero° F temps, comfy, 100% waterproof, and easy to clean. These are seriously burly well made boots.

Sizing winter boots has been quite challenging. I wear a 10. 5 medium width athletic shoe/ 44. 5 cycling shoe. I tried many brands and sizes including LL Bean, KEEN, Columbia, Muck, and a few more. Boots like this can feel stiff so I prefer thicker wool socks for added cushion and insulation. An 11. 5 was snug but not too tight( like the 11) and gave me enough wiggle room in the toe box. When I finally got outdoors with them, I found them warm and comfortable walking around for more than two hours through slush and snow on trails and streets. They are quick to slip on and lace up, quick to unlace and slip off. I am very satisfied with them.

I needed waterproof lightweight AND comfortable walking boots for my trip to Ireland in October. After doing a bunch of research, I noticed SOREL kept coming up. I find that many waterproof boots are uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, esp. when walking long distances as I ’ m used to getting 16, 000- 25, 000 steps/day come rain or shine. All of the reviews for this boot kept talking about how comfy these shoes are and how well they hold up to the weather. I am THRILLED I decided to go for it. They live up to ALL the hype as far as comfortably, fit, easy to get on and off without a lot of fuss like other laced boots, grip and warmth. I can ’ t speak to dryness as I haven ’ t worn them in the rain or snow yet, but I ’ m sure they will be fine. They do run true to size, however if you use an insert like Dr Scholls, you should go up a half size. I ’ m normally a 10, but brought the 10. 5 to make sure I had room enough for my Plantar Fasciitis insert and a good sock. The 10. 5 is a perfect fit. I also love how stylish these are- can be dressed up or down. If you ’ re on the fence about this purchase don ’ t wait a moment longer.
