It has two zippers along the teeth, which is super helpful if you ’ re crouching down or generally stretching the jacket in some fashion,( you can move that bottom zipper up to open the jacket a bit, so it ’s not as taut at the bottom). The hood and fur are removable but I haven ’ t taken either off. The jacket is quite warm and comfy, even without the heat on! I highly recommend. I am a small or medium in all my other coats, jackets and tops. This parka in olive is exactly like the pictures in my opinion. It is heavy, good quality and beautiful. I ordered a size medium based upon the size chart and it is VERY fitted in the hips. I am an athletic build- 150lbs with lots of muscle, however I have wider hips than my waist( hourglass) for sure and this REALLY hugs my hips. Fits well in the upper body. Quite possibly large would have worked better, especially since the battery sits on the hips( tightest portion for me). The jacket is beautiful and works well, however the sizing seems to run at least 1- 1. 5 sizes smaller than average. Can not wear bulky layers with this size for sure. Would love at least an exchange option for size issues on open box items.

This jacket is super high quality and is warm, waterproof and windproof. I ’ m 5 ’ 11 ”, 190lbs, athletic build. The Men ’s size medium fits perfect, with room for layers without being too small or too big. It is long below the waist so there is a double zipper to allow you to manuever into your car or a chair without pulling the jacket up to your waist. I removed the faux fur from my hood, it comes off easily with buttons. The fur just wasn ’ t my style. A few people complained about the double zipper, which is plastic( not metal), and is a YKK branded zipper. I ’ ve had no issues with the double zipper. Someone complained about the arm length. There are velcro cuffs so you can control how low you want the cuffs to go. No issues for me there. Bonus: there are two zippered hidden pockets, one on the inside of the main vertical zipper and one on the outside of the zipper. This outside pocket allows you to access items without unzipping the coat. Another bonus: there are two large pockets on the inside of the coat large enough to store ski googles. I happily store my winter scarf in there for when the temperature drops down and the wind picks up. Chest- level hand warmer pockets are comfortable and fantastic for walking or standing in the cold. I wore this coat for a trip in Seattle during the cold and rainy October season and it kept the wind and rain at bay, no wind or water got through. I ’ ve wearing this coat here in Orlando, FL for the cold winter months and have stayed quite warm and cozy! Keep in mind, this is the “ Nuuk Lite Insulated ” version so it ’s perfect for Seattle or Orlando. Fjallraven makes a warmer version called “ Nuuk Insulated ” which is probably more suited to arctic places like snowy parts of Canada or New England. I highly recommend!

After getting through a NYC December/January where conditions ranged from 40F with heavy rain to nearly 10F with strong wind and snow, I can officially say I love this jacket. It ’s very stylish and the warm adjustable hood is a highlight. I prefer the flexibility of having a versatile “ lighter ” jacket that can get through three seasons but this jacket isn ’ t super light. When it got down into the 20s, I just layered with a light insulated vest and the jacket remained effective. I don ’ t understand some of the complaints in other reviews… two- way zippers are always a little more difficult to zip up but with the longer length of the jacket, it ’s well worth it. And no, my arms didn ’ t get cold in the jacket either.

I 'm 5' 7 '' 130 lbs and ordered a small, was n't sure how it would fit since I would normally go for a medium in jackets, but saw this was loose fit and have heard Carhartt run large. The sleeves of the small were good but I was absolutely drowning in the rest of it so got an extra small, and it was a much better fit! When I tried it on with a sweatshirt underneath, the sleeves of the extra small were a touch tight when bending my elbows, but I think it will break in just fine. Great jacket, hope this can help folks with sizing. Did n't have any trouble with the zipper the way other people have described, it's a big metal double zipper and takes a little effort but nothing crazy.

I like the jacket for downhill( lift) skiing at Whistler/Blackcomb:- The hood covers the entire helmet and stays up. I like to ski with my hood up when it's a bit cold.- The big, wide collar to zips up to cover most of my face even when wearing a thick face covering.- It has appropriate insulation. You need extra layers underneath when it's cold but it should be quite wearable for spring skiing with just a shirt on underneath.- Pockets are where they should be and the right size. Some suggestions for improvement:- There is no place to attach a whistle which would be close to the mouth. The zipper pulls where I would normally attach a whistle are solid and not useful for that purpose. This is quite important when skiing a big mountain resort like Whistler/Blackcomb. There really needs to be a place to attach a whistle near the mouth. I may get a little loop sown in some place on the jacket.- The inside chest zipper pocket should be on the inside of the insulation rather than the outside. This would keep the phone and other electronics warmer.- It would be nice if the collar was just a bit higher, maybe by a centimeter or so. Not a big deal. Overall I am very happy with the jacket so far.

Impressive 3- 1 after wearing out my North Face 3- 1 system I have wore for years. Bought this to replace it and I am happy with what my research settled upon. Love the zip out silk liner as a stand alone lite duty jacket, a nd the shell works excellent as a rain cover. This is a great system for a beginner or an expert in the field or out on the town. Size runs true and is a little longer than expected but I did not mind the extra length to cover my hind end.

I use this as an everyday jacket for plain clothes LE work in PA. It is insanely warm for how light weight it is. Water repellency and wind resistance is excellent. Excellent balance between weight and warmth. Only downfall is the length makes it difficult to get to a sidearm when zipped up.

Replacing an older TNF Goretex hard shell that held up for a very long time until the zippers failed. First impressions is that the number of pockets and their positioning is exactly the type of thing you did n't know you needed until you have it. Feels light and offers good maneuverability. Just roomy enough that layering with mid layer does n't feel bulky and stuffed. Although the armpit area is a bit snug, I have a Denali fleece so maybe the newer FutureFleece models will fit better. I have high hopes this jacket will hold up for years snowboarding here on our icy slopes. I 'm already liking the tech designed into this jacket.

Everything about the jacket is rugged and high quality. The stitching and was perfect and the large tooth YKK zippers were smooth with no snags. Fit is good but on the slimmer side( in a good way). You can layer a sweatshirt and puff vest but that ’s about it. If you need more, size up. Unfortunately I had to return the jacket due to the antler color being very pink. No other colors were available in my size so I had to go with the thermograph jacket, which is also very good.

This jacket looks great on the mountain and off. Kept dry when out for several hours in rain, but wetted out halfway through a deep powder day. Hood works well with a helmet, but hood could be a bit bigger. The hand- warmer inner cuffs are good, but can wick up water during heavy rain. Pockets are good placement and size and insulated phone pocket is a definite plus! I love that various features in the jacket( such as the `` Glove Link '' are in a contrasting colour and labelled so that you do n't have to guess their uses. Note that the jacket is a lined shell, meaning that it provides more warmth than some other shells.

happy with this jacket. i used at mt Bachelor for four days. it was cold week but i never got cold, in fact i had to open vents. i 'm 6' 1 '' and its very comfortable fit. hood its true helmet compatible. main zipper sometimes was stubborn but manageable. i would improve the top of inside part of zipper where Gore- Tex material is touching your face/ mouth when hood is over the helmet by putting softer cloth material, maybe even this piece could be removable for often cleaning. overall good jacket.

After wearing the jacket for a few weeks during winter in northern New England my worries were laid to rest. This jacket fits just right and is incredibly warm. I feel like the new Omni Heat Artic even works when its cloudy or getting dark. The hood on the Artic Crest has what may be the best fit of any jacket I have ever owned. Very nice warm jacket I have one for last 20 years. I was working on construction I use this jacket every day., It's very heavy material. You 're not gon na rip it off and it's nice and warm, so I will recommend it. It's no good to go to church but on construction site perfect, the only reason that I buy second jacket because is too small so I need size bigger otherwise that all the jacket is in the perfect condition there was no problems

These bibs were fantastic for my snowboarding trip in Breckenridge. These bibs were extra flexible and did n't make me feel as constrained as other bibs have. They fit well and were very comfortable for riding from first chair to last. We ended up having a pretty wide range of temperatures from 40 to- 10. The vents did a great job of keeping me cool on the warmer days, and I only had to add a single layer of thermal underwear( top and bottom) to be comfortable on the- 10 days!

So far, so good! Living right outside the Middlesex Fells, the weather can be incredibly variable year round, and this jacket handles the rain and wind well. I 've found this jacket has managed to keep me warm when it's cold out, but also not overheat me in the event the sun is out because of how light the jacket is. The vents also help a lot with that, too. Definitely recommend!
