So far, the traction, warmth, and waterproofing of these shoes has been elite. I have tested these out for hours out on icy and snowy sidewalks, trails, and roads with no issues. Where I live( Washington DC) we do n't get crazy amounts of snow, but we will have the occasional winter storm and get 6- 10 inches or so. I needed a boot to keep my feet warm and dry when I walk my dog, run errands, etc. But I did n't need super heavy duty boot to shovel snow in. I chose this because I liked that the shaft was n't too high, so I could still wear it with most of my pants. We just had a winter storm. The snow was deep enough that it covered my entire boot and yet they kept my feet SUPER warm and I did n't feel slippery when walking on ice. The waterproof material kept my feet dry, and they are also SUPER CUTE! I am a true 7. 5( according to the size chart; my feet are 24 cm), but I still ordered a size 8 based on reviews saying it ran small, and I think I made the right decision. I think if I ordered my exact size I would n't have room to wear thick socks.

I was very satisfied with its performance. I used it in Norway, and it was completely waterproof. However, since there is a small gap at the top, I ’ d recommend wearing waterproof trousers over it to prevent water from getting in. Also, I suggest ordering one size up. I have flat arches and over pronating hind feet so I was thrilled my orthotics fit in place of the company made insoles. There is arch support in the Tivoli Resort that is comparable to that in Tivoli. The higher platform and deep tread is ideal for the snowy slushy winter terrain. The insulation works perfectly even in below 10 degree weather with windy conditions. The higher top and faux help keep the ankle to calf part of lower leg protected and warm. I ’ m even comfortable in them for an 8- hour shift in retail involving going up and down ladders. Highly recommend for women with C width feet( wider than typical but not quite wide.). I love the look of these boots- classic yet stylish. I normally take a size 7, but had to exchange them for a size 8 as they were too tight. The larger size is perfect. They are comfortable and easy to slip on and off. This boot will be warm for winter wear.

I wear size 6 1/2 but was advised to go up a half size since my feet are wide. They were too tight so I got size 7 1/2 and they feel much better but I am breaking them in before a winter trip to Japan where we will be doing a lot of walking. The boots are a simple style which I love and will keep my feet warm. I looked at many other winter boots on several websites and none can compare to the Cedar Quilt and I love the color green so this was perfect. I will attach two photos to the review. The photos are not edited and the one true to color is the one showing the side and bottom of the boot.

Love the functional tread with cute quilted pattern. Be mindful that heel may be a bit tight with heavy winter socks. I did not need to break these in. Wore for several hours the first time without any soreness.

The colorway is true to the imagery online. The boot is relatively lightweight for a winter boot and very stylish. The fit itself is quite narrow. I wear an 8 across the board in all brands and very rarely have to size up or down. I needed to size up to a 9 for these boots. They were difficult to get on in my regular size. I 'd suggest sizing up.
