These are the most comfortable work boots I 've ever had. I 've been wearing Timberland Pro's for the last 8 years but decided it was time for a change because there is n't enough protection from corn formation. With these I do n't feel rubbing on the top of my feet. The cushioned wedge makes it easier to be on my feet for 8- 12 hour long days. The strings are light weight and do not dangle ridiculously long they 're perfect. The only thing I would love for them to add is a cushion barrier on the inside of the boot that wraps along the ankle. The liner broke loose from the boot and I have to use a shoe horn to get one of them off. If they could prevent this from happening I would say it was the perfect boot for coalmining.

I got these 2 years ago and yesterday I was at the beach with my wife. I wore these boots to the Santa Monica beach in CA. Before you ask, I hate sandals and shorts, I will not wear them. As I walked with my wife by the shore, I avoided the waves because I did not want my boots to get wet. Well, my wife was enjoying the ocean water when she thought it would be funny to hold me in place as the wave hit my boots. They got wet and submerged to about the 6 '' mark. My feet were dry. I was confused and surprised, they did not let any ocean water in at all. So I figured, why not and I pushed it further, with about 3 second intervals of waves, they survived. Until the water went above the 8 inch height and then my socks got wet, which is understandable. So I wanted to write a review because it deserved a review because it did a great job preventing water from getting in. It was kind of fun to be honest but the salt is not great afterwards.

The first day I wore here boots for my full shift without problems and these boots felt like they had been worked in for months before. These boots have been through mud, snow, ice and I have had no problems with traction or warmth. I have had a 800+ pound hot rolled steel bar( scaled from the foundry and roughed outside covering) fall and give a glancing blow to my left heel and there wasn ’ t any marks on the heel of the boot. My only gripe is that my little toe on my big ol wide foot hangs just behind the steel toe section. If I kick anything with the toe of the shoe, the steel cap jams into the tip of my little toe. The Romeo Wedge boot is a quality footware. The boots fit true to size and have a very well placed arch. The out sole also seems to be of top quality and should wear for a long time. The boots are not the easiest to pull on and off but maybe thats some of the reason they fit so well.
