Snow in Idaho and rain over in Oregon and Washington They 've been great for driving, job site and walking around, and the waterproofing is top notch. I 've ridden the Harley a couple times with them in and the met guard is no good for that, protects your foot too much to have good connection with the shifter, but for work, these are great.

I already own these boots without the safety toe and love them. These are no different aside of the break- in period. The non- steel toe were like house slippers from day one. These have taken a few weeks of wear to soften up and I am still having an issue with my left boot, but the right is great. They are extremely comfortable and easy to stand on most of the day. They run perfect to size and the steel toe is not invasive like other brands I have tried. I work in an environment that has a number of silicone based chemicals on the floor and it is slippery, but not in these boots! I have not even come close since I started wearing them. For starters, the boots look amazing. Black matches everything and 6 inch is an amazing size. The insoles are firm until you step.( I don ’ t know how) basically, I ran to a friends house in these. And I noticed every step, I the boot rebounded me giving me a little boost. But when standing still, the boots have amazing support. I got them 1 day ago and used them is the snow and ice, then wore them to work today. The only reason I gave them a 4 out of five for durability is because I haven ’ t owned them long enough to know if they will hold. But based off of the feel and finish. It seems pretty solid. I noticed creasing from running in them which means like all boots, they are gon na crack eventually. As for the functionality of them. I was on my knees stocking some low shelves and notivced the boot doesn ’ t bend as much as it could. But you can substitute that by getting a soft toe version if you don ’ t need hard toed.

Wrong size
They seem to be a size smaller than normal size. I have always wore a 9 1/2 in all my shoes and boots but they seem to fit like an 8 1/2. Other than the size difference, these seem to be some of the best built and great quality boots that I ’ ve purchased in a long time. Hopefully after I get the right size, they will last me a while.

After lots of research I bought these boots for work. I manage small business with a machine and fabrication shop. I work in and out of the office and shop. I needed something that was n't big and clunky, but still protective. Also something that is good for standing on concrete. The first thing you notice when you unbox your boots it the strong smell of real quality leather. I was immediately in the mood for a good Maduro cigar and a glass of my favorite Islay whisky. Following that, you peel back the paper and see the true color of these boots in your chosen color. I picked copper rough and tough. The photos do not truly demonstrate it's color but, there are some hints of the color in the photos. It has a richness and variation of color that is amazing in person. Since most stores do not stock these, it is a bit of a leap of faith but, it is well worth it. I had to size them down one half of a size. They do not come in a wide width at this time and I measure for a wide shoe but, already on the second day, they were loosened up enough that I have no trouble now. I would recommend wearing them around the house one day with two pairs of socks on. You 'll be surprised how quickly they break in if you do n't mind doing that for a day. Based on the described construction of the boot, when you receive the box, you may be surprised that it does n't weight several more pounds. It's not a very heavy boot even with the extra stitching and quality leather. Wearing it around the house and then later out on the street, it will continue to break in and loosen up. The break in is not bad at all. I would compare the break in to any other quality leather dress shoe that is American made. I felt an improvement in just a day and it will get better everyday for two weeks. The shape and style of the boot are clean and simple yet rugged. I believe this could easily sneak into a business casual realm if needed, especially on colder inclement days. The oil resistant soles have good traction on most surfaces so far. I have another pair of boots with deeper heavier tread for working around the house so, this pair probably wont see as much winter time work. They did get puked on by the kid last night and after that I walked through some mud right after getting out of the truck. It all seemed to wipe off and reminded me to invest in the protectant. I 'll be ordering that soon. If you buy cheap boots that are n't real leather, crack, fall apart or generally wear out every year or two, I would advise you to take a trip to the store, make the investment now and after you break in your new boots, you can decide for yourself.

Just received my Copper Blacksmiths today and after a quick application of oil, I 've been wearing them most of the afternoon and evening. Incredibly comfortable from the start( apart from being a little stiff) and the leather is a beautiful sight, changing colour and tone with each movement of the foot. As the other reviews seem to agree the laces seem a little short and I did n't go a size down as I 've pretty wide feet. This means they 're maybe a touch long but great on the width.

I had never bought a `` casual '' pair of boots before especially taken a leap of faith since they cost much more than I wanted to spend, but after about 2 years of wearing these for work/play/casual in all types of weather every other day, if not everyday, the comfort alone has been more than worth it. I have owned these boots for over 1- 1/2 years now with no issues. I oil them every quarter to help with the wear and tear and to keep them soft. I keep them on a boot dryer at night to keep them dry. I work in the Dairy industry and walk through manure and chemicals, it is a very wet environment. I have gone through Red Wings and other carhartt boots that only last 6- 8 months. In short, thee boots are worth every penny. Wish I could get a pair with more insulation though.

Great fit, easy on and off but stays put while moving around, these are definitely stretch fit, the laces seem to be decorative in my opinion. Materials seem durable so far, I especially appreciate the extra protection around the `` accidentally kicked a pallet corner '' area. If I had to complain the outer side of the arch support is very high which has been painful for the first hundred hours or so of wear but it's getting better as it collapses. Overall a much lighter and comfortable alternative to the traditional steel toed work boot.

Third straight pair of Carhartt shoes. Been wearing steel toed/composite toed for the last 40 years. Carhartt are easily the best. Great fit right out of the box and comfortable enough for 12 hour workdays.

I bought these shoes in place of my red wing composite tenis shoe and I have to admit these are by far my new favorite work shoes. the shoes are very comfortable, usually i wear inserts in my shoes because of discomfort during 10hr shifts but not with these. The fit is just about spot on could be a little wider for my feet but now I know for next time. Also half the price of red wing so win win.

Never owned a pair of sneakers style carbon toe shoes. These are awesome. Comfortable and light. Walking the job is a breeze. Happy i pulled the trigger.

I just purchased these sneakers and I am pleasantly surprised at how comfortable these shoes are. I have never had any safety toe shoe or boot be this comfortable. I also like the fact that you can slip them on and off without having to tie and untie them every time, which is super convenient for the application for where I am wearing them. When I first got them out of the box they felt heavy but when they are on your feet they are not heavy at all but like wearing regular sneakers with the benefit of the safety toe. I am more than pleased with the purchase of these shoes and I would highly recommend them to anyone requiring a safety toe shoe in their work application especially if you do a lot of walking and comfort is something you are also looking for.
