These are a great first run at hiking pants! The material is awesome- so stretchy so I do n't have to worry about maybe tearing them when taking a big step up, though that stretch does make the snaps a little difficult to use. I bought mediums; the legs fit great, the butt is a bit tight and makes the pockets pull, and the waist is enormous. I 'm so glad it comes with a belt. I do n't think I could size down because of the legs& butt, but I really wish I could. Love that there are snaps on the ankles so I can prevent the pants from dragging on the ground( I 'm short), but I wish they made the ankles just a little bit tighter when done up.

I got these pants in anticipation of starting a season of trail work. They held up through an entire season of rock work, which was pretty impressive.
