They have held us great haven ’ t even scuffed up or anything and I haven ’ t even been being easy on them! They are nice and broken in now and comfortable. Love Ariat boots' style& quality! I had owned for many years paddock, zip front boots for years that I wore in stables with cement floors& wore for riding English saddle w/ half- chaps. So when I wanted a nice pair of casual waterproof winter walking boots in the Chelsea style, I was thrilled to see that Ariat made them! Note: I first purchased reg width( wide, my width, was n't avail at the time) in size 8- 1/2 the boot itself fit perfect but the tops were too narrow above the ankle& rubbed my leg. I exchanged for wide width( avail after Christmas!) size 9( as 8- 1/2 were n't avail), I so wanted these boots. The top part above ankle does n't rub( yay) but the boot is way big for my foot. I bought super thick wool socks and manage but still too big on my feet, they slide as I walk. An 8- 1/2, wide- width would 've been perfect for me but I do n't believe they return 2x's. I wear them but can not walk fast in them and I 'm a NYer, oxymoronic. Highly recommend Ariat's Wexford Chelsea waterproof boots regardless! Super boots.

I have worn Sorel Chelsea boots for several years and have loved them. When my last pair needed to be replaced, I decided to give Ariat a try. I am extremely happy with these boots and will likely not go back to Sorel. They were comfortable out of the box with no break in period- this was shocking to me as someone with heel issues that are usually a problem with new boots. They are comfortable and I can walk around and stand all day without problems. They look great- I love the simple design and low profile logo. Highly recommend- these are the most comfortable and well made Chelsea boots that I have ever worn.

They are super durable and held up well on a rafting trip through the Yukon, British Columbia, and Alaska. They kept my feet warm and dry around camp and had a fantastic supportive footbed and grippy sole for hiking. I was impressed enough to buy a pair of Hightop and Lowtop in this specific model. I 've owned over 100 pairs of boots over the course of a 22 years Army career and 50 years of hiking and camping. These are the best, and I 've spent over$ 500 on other boots that do n't come close. The Goretex membrane does as intended, keeping water and snow out, and your feet dry and ventilated. The sole provides outstanding cushion and grip. For perspective, I 'm 6 ft tall, 240 lbs and I 've put over 120 miles on each pair via hiking and every day use. I did n't require a break in. Zero blisters, but one thing I learned over the 50 years, wear synthetic breathable socks... not cotton. If you must wear cotton socks, do n't be too ashamed to wear silk or silicone stocking under them. Your feet will thank you. Nothing macho about getting blisters and walking around like you are walking on hot coals. The high tops and low tops fit true to my normal size of 13. For the reviews that say they are not plush, your experience is definitely not my experience. I 've had hip and knee surgeries, these are great cushioned boots.

[ I ’ ve had these boots for about a month now and am hiking about 3 miles a day in them. It took a bit until they felt broken in, but are now feeling great. I have a bad case of hallux rigidus and the stiff sole of these boots allows me to hike for miles without irritating my big toe. There is enough support and cushion in the ankles and the lacing system works well to allow you to lock your foot in securely. The boots are waterproof and keep your feet nice and toasty. The traction is also notable with some pretty large lugs to keep you stable on slick trails. I have thrown on a pair of gaiters and am covered hiking in snow and muddy conditions. Love this boot.
