This is the `` goldilocks '' between the Novablast 3 and 4 and my favorite version of the three. Best version of the tongue. It's gusseted, a bit stretchy, preforated, and a touch of padding at the top to help prevent lace bite. The upper is a bit more breathable, and traps a bit less heat. The best version of the midsole. It's a bit less firm than the 4, better energy return than the 3, and they got rid of the excessive protruding heel from the 4. No shoe will ever be as good as the Gel- Cumulus 23, but I am very pleased with the GC- 27. Mile after mile of spongy comfort, excellent lateral support, great energy return. No need to frequently stop and re- lace or re- cinch. Some might find the tongue a bit short; I found myself tugging on it the first ten miles. Other than that, as a regular Nike guy, I can say the GC- 27 is fantastic for long runs.

I really needed a wider shoe and the Kayano comes in wide and really has the heel support that I need due to my pronation which has caused frequent knee and calf pain. I really like this running shoe. I 'm slightly underpronated and the Gel- Nimbus 27 is great. Lot's of cushion and very comfortable for longer( for me anyway) runs of 5+ miles. One minor compliant is that the toe box seems slightly tighter than the GN 26, but hopefully it will stretch out a bit as they get broken in.

Great trail shoe! On less technical but gravel topped trails, these work well. Very light and less cumbersome than Trabuco Max 4 ’s. This is my daily shoe as well.

I ’ m slow and been running for about a year. 175lbs. About 9: 50 min marathon pace. I didn ’ t want a carbon plate shoe, and decided on the SB2 for my marathon shoe. I have now worn for most of my runs. Long, tempo, recovery, threshold, and even intervals- and race shoes for my marathon. I think they ’ re awesome at all of those, except, maybe not best for intervals- though they definitely worked- just maybe not best suited for that. No hotspots or slippage or issues, comfort was awesome- and the rocker is great! Super comfortable and I know they helped me reach my marathon goal with way more comfort that what I had done the majority of my training block runs in.( Puma Deviate Nitro 2). Towards the end of my block my training shoes were wearing down and I bought the SB2 ’s as my race day event shoe. I ’ m now at 100mi and they ’ re awesome. They are very big shoes. I am a size 10, and the size of these seemed like they had a bit more room than I was used to and a longer design than what I was training in( Puma DN2 mentioned above). I even ordered/tried on a 9. 5 but those felt a little too snug. So I kept with the 10. I think they ’ re just a bigger shoe by design. But even with being large they feel so light and help me stay comfortable at my higher paces. Support and comfort has been excellent! Definitely was a step up in comfort after training in my DN2 ’s for the block.

I ’ m 41 and I ’ m just getting back into running. I had an old pair of ASICS that were worn out, and my knees and joints started hurting. I got these and can easily do 4- 6 miles with little to no joint pain at all. Definitely worth it.

I ’ m a 5 ’ 10 ”, 170lbs, 54 year old male with a marathon PR of 3: 15 and have been running marathons for 14 years. Ran my 20th marathon two weeks ago and nearly set a new PR! I bought the Metaspeed Sky a couple months out from my race and put roughly 40 miles on the shoes at race pace during training. Was really skeptical at first because the soles r so plush, but running, they r very responsive. Super light and almost feel unstable standing in them. However, running for me, at 7- 7: 30 min/mile pace, they were fantastic. After setting a PR 7 years ago, I nearly PR ’ d again with these shoes. I was less than 30 seconds shy. Fit for me was good. Snug in the heel and mid foot, just enough room in the toes. Looking forward to racing in these again.

Fast. Currently running in Invincible 3s and Infinity Rn4s, I actually bought these just to have. As an older runner with knee arthritis, I need good cushion. I tried these out on a 6 mile treadmill run and wow- these shoes are quick!! There is great support and the sole is perfect no matter where your foot strikes.( I ’ m a mid- forefoot striker). And they are super light; they feel much lighter than my other pairs( above). Looks like I ’ ll be using these for speed work. Kudos again Nike!
