I wear them on longhaul flights( change out my shoes once we are in the air) and it's easy to wipe down the soles after they touch the lav floors before wearing them at gueshouses, hostels, and in other peoples homes. My Keen canvas Howsers were getting a little worn so I decided to try a new, different pair. I liked the look and style of this shoe and as luck would have it they were on sale. I ordered my normal size 11. When they arrived they were just a tad too short. Keen makes it easy to return and I ordered a size 11. 5 and they arrived and fit perfect!! Note that these are a tight fitting shoe so getting them on takes a little effort but once they are on they are VERY comfortable. I like the material on these better than the canvas on the Howsers. I 've had these for six weeks of summer on sidewalks and woods' rutty trails where they 've been great-- perfect insulation from the ground's surface, good traction on wet and/or uneven ground, plenty roomy for my wide forefeet whether w/ socks or not, and w/ a springy stride. They are also too wide in the heel but nonetheless keep my heels from sliding around. And they 're the best clog design IMO for staying dry in light rain w/ a wide- enough umbrella. The only downside I 've noticed is that small gravel can get stuck in the soles if on pavement. Would love to have them in all white.
