Excellent for my Perception Pescador Pilot, it's light and has nice grip for the hull so it does n't slip easily while pulling it, the straps are very good and easy to set up. The wheels will never go flat, and have a nice rubbery feel for good traction. It can hold a lot more weight than others so it's stronger.

I have the Malone AirFlow towers and rails and the BigFoot Pro pads are a great accessory to get the canoe/kayak up off the vehicle roof. Quality construction. I just wish there was a way to lock them to the crossrails.

This was a cinch to use straight out of the box. I had to drive to the Boundary Waters at high speeds and then on some back country roads. The canoe was solidly placed with the attached belly straps. I had to use a front anchor strap of my own to keep it centered. I would be the only negative I had. Sure beats the foam pads I 've been using for the last few years. It a nice alternative to buying a Thule rack for hundreds more.

Overall, a great way to store your canoe on your vehicle's cross bars. Felt like the price was about triple for what you actually get in terms of plastic braces, 2 straps, and screws. However, it's a well- built product that should last. Have used it twice thus far for our canoe... have a good hang of it now... could probably reinstall/take- down in 10 minutes tops.

I placed this on a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited with factory crossbars. These worked great for holding a 16 foot canoe. Never moved and protected the vehicle. I would give it five stars if there was a way to lock the mounts to the car( None of the other canoe carrier companies had locks either. ie thule, Yakima) It would be nice if you did not have to undo all the screws each time you removed the mount from the car, but not a big deal. I would recommend this and I would buy it again.

I have been wanting this kayak rack for a long time and finally bit the bullet and ordered it. I am so happy that I did! This is a great kayak rack! I am a 5 ’ 3 ” woman and I can load my kayak on top of my compact SUV by myself and be ready to roll in about 20 minutes. The dock grip holds my kayak so well that I don ’ t feel I need to over tighten the cam straps, which is something I felt I had to do with other racks.

I say best for the price,* because if you have any wide and heavy yak, then this is the best one out there for this price tag. I have had 3 yak's one old town PDL and a big fish 108 pdl and a sit in perception fishing yak, and this cart just get the job done with no problems, fits all 3 different types of haul's, and is a must have as a kayaker. Kit worked well. I changed the mount from inside the trailer to outside( who wants to lose space in the trailer bed?) by getting some additional u- bolts and L- brackets to replace the bottom mounting plates. I did have to replace the bolts used to attach the tie down points, as the wrench needed to tighten them would not reach inside the cross bar.$ 2. 50 worth of slightly smaller bolts, nuts and washers fixed the issue. I still need to cut off the excess bolt threads, but it is going to work great for carrying kayaks while still allowing the trailer to be used for hauling other items.

No, I do not personally own one of the racks, but coming from a person with loads of ladder rack and vehicle rack purchasing and using experience, this may the coolest, most useful product I ’ ve ever come across. And believe me when I say, I am very OCD, we use ladder racks on all our work trucks and enclosed trailers and I have shopped just every brand and style out there. Never have I run across anything this functional. Such a simple idea and long overdue. Wish I had thought to design and sell it.

I bought this set for my 2020 outback and a 10ft kayak. Install was ok, fitment to my crossbars was fine. I wish there was a better way to install the nuts heads and that such nuts are difficult to install without a second pair of hands. All in all, I would n't trust keeping the cradle on the car for extended period of time since the nuts do not have `` anti- back- out '' protection. But for what I will use it for, it is fine.
