[ My first outing with this chair was on a long walk on a beach at Bodega Bay in northern California. I am pushing 80 with arthritis in both knees. After 20 minutes I needed a rest. I replaced this chair with my unfomfortable one and so glad I did. Initially, the seat looks lower than the replaced chair, but it is actually a little taller. It only took a few minutes to put together. The pump worked much better than I expected. One pleasant surprise was the small amount of space it occupied. My back is not killing me at the end of the day. I was hesitant about leaning back, but there is total support. I have n't tried the exercises yet, but looking forward to keeping my body active while I am stuck at a desk.

This chair is really heavy, but folds up similarly to a standard camp chair, just longer. The label says good for up to 225 lbs. The shade folds behind the chair when you do n't want to use it. [ My husband and I just took these chairs on a five day canoe trip. They easily strapped under the stern seat for long portages and were balanced easily with a stuff sack under the bow seat. They set up in about a minute once you get used to the process and are so comfortable. If it was colder I would line the ventilated seats and backs with a blanket. They are tippy until you get used to them but it ’s not a big deal since you ’ re so close to the ground; also, all lightweight camp chairs are tippy. Too big to bring backpacking( don ’ t pack down small enough for a backpack) but definitely the right chair for a canoe trip!

While my Sunset Chair also has a high position, the Cafe Chair position works better for me. The Sunset is a more comfortable leaned- back design for relaxing, but the Cafe Chair is a practical multi- purpose design for the campsite. Sturdy, easy to assemble, easy to clean, quick drying. And it's lighter when carrying on my motorcycle.

[ I bought this chair to have a collapsible chair that is at normal table height. This chair meets that and may actually be slightly too small for people with shorter legs. Despite the additional height it is quite stable, although as with all Helinox- type collapsible chairs you will need a base to support it on soft ground. The back of the the chair is not height enough to rest your head back but the back provides adequate support in an upright posture. It is fairly comfortable and the vented back panel should prevent overheating but the sides of the seat are a bit narrow so if you are on the wider/heavier side you may find that it cups tightly. It is somewhat heavier than the smaller chairs and too heavy for backpacking but I keep it in the truck and it is sufficiently compact compared to other options. Overall, it ’s the best and only choice for this style of chair at a full table height.

I have had my chair for four years now. One of the wheels keeps falling off, and I found that the area around it is broken. Tried Gorilla glue to no avail. I did have the stabilizer bars replace, but they broke again, so I just use without. Best choice I ever mad for an office chair. Wife loves the Adirondack, and this one does not disappoint. We bought two! Assembly is a little challenging unless you have a good( and proper sized) Allen wrench bit. The final two steps are the hardest. The pre- drilled holes for the screws are not aligned. Alignment requires an extra set of hands to pull the armrests very hard to get the holes in place. Need to alternate between the final and next to final steps.

The GCI Outdoor Roadtrip Rocker is an excellent chair that sits on the fence between an `` A '' or a `` B ''. Just a couple extra credit assignments and it firmly passes with straight A's. This chair is very comfortable and does a surprisingly good job as a rocking chair. The back is tall enough to lean back and feel supported. It is wide enough be bundled up in blankets and still have room. There are two things I 'd like have changed slightly. If you are sitting up to a table, or even just forward on the chair it is a bit too relaxed. Lastly, be prepared for a fairly large item when folded. Getting all this comfort into a bag poses a big challenge. Well done GCI!

Two is better than one. The first is quite old but still rocking. The new one has the mesh back which will be cooler in the hot summer. I wish there was some kind replacement for it when the fabric wears out or rips. I can rest my neck on the back. My boyfriend is 6 ’ tall and 180. He can ’ t rest his neck but is still very comfortable in the high back chair zero. We both got in and out of it without thinking, so it wasn ’ t too low to the ground or too tight on the hips. Absolutely now my favorite piece of gear!

[ I used this on three backcountry camping trips involving 5000+ feel elevation gain. It fits easily in a pack or clipped to the outside. Easy to setup and put away and comfortable to sit in at camp. I ’ m 6 ’ 1 170. If you ’ re 200lbs or more this may not be the right chair for you.

[ Great comfortable lite camp chair. My only issue is I lost one of the rubber leg boots, so I sink in if not on hard surface. Might need to find spare leg boots but the chair is excellent.

What made me click `` buy '' was the materials this chair is made from. We have the Shibumi Shade which has lasted for years without issues, and just know the chair will hold up as well. Ca n't wait to use these chairs everywhere this Spring/Summer!

My family purchased these chairs for the upcoming beach season because we loved the same copany's shade and we were curious to try out their chair. We 've not been to the beach yet, but we took the chair to a recent soccer practice and it worked so much better than our old tailgate chair. The straps were comfortable and easy to use, but most off all the chair was SO much more comfortable than anything we 've used( beach or camping). Based on feedback from other parents I 'm sure we 'll see more of these chairs at the fields this season. I 'll follow up with review once we put the chair through the test of our beach trips

Bought one of these as soon as they came out this is the most comfortable beach chair, lightweight easy to carry, and the fabric is amazing when I look at my old chair I 'm so embarrassed by it. I 'm planning to buy four more of these for the summer.
