These are premier. While this is my first set I am impressed. I am 6'- 4 '' and was concerned with the height being what was needed. As I unpacked them and adjusted them out they did not come near maxing out in order to fit me. Also, the locks are secure I am not sure what it would take for them to slip. Buy thesae poles, you wo n't be excited.

5 Mary K.
We got these to replace a pair of decade old Komperdells that finally have started to fail on us. They are great- we have used them for winter hiking and snowshoeing up by Rocky Mountain National Park and they are light weight with easy to use and very functional locking mechanisms. Awesome product!

5 jared k.
Recently purchased these trekking poles from Black Diamond and took them on my most recent backpacking trip. Hiked roughly 38 miles in two days and these trekking poles were fantastic. The cork handles are amazing and keep your hands from getting sticky and sweaty. The poles are lightweight and the straps are extremely comfortable. Highly recommend!

Well made hiking poles, seem sturdy enough. Would recommend to a friend.

5 LizaW
I want to thank Leki for these great Cressida Cork Lite poles which they provided to me at no cost in fulfillment of a warranty for another pair/different model that had a defect. These poles are sturdy and light and give me confidence on the trail, even on steep inclines or descents. It's very easy to change the length of the poles as needed and I like the women- specific sizing since I am on the petite side and do n't need more pole length than necessary. The cork grip is very comfortable! I was n't sure how I would feel about a cork grip since I was previously used to a foam grip, but I think there's actually more stability and palm to pole contact with a cork grip. I am also not used to aluminum, which is indeed stiffer than carbon, but I think it's worth it to choose aluminum for Leki's great warranty. Leki stands behind its products and I will only buy Leki poles from now on. Thank you!

Love these hiking poles. Very good quality and seem to be worth the premiumz

5 Mike AT16
I purchased my original Leki Cork Lite poles back in 2015, and they survived an entire thru- hike on the Appalachian Trail. If you need a quality trekking pole, I can highly recommend these after using them for thousands of miles on trail! I love the comfort of the cork handles. To top it off, the customer service at Leki is simply the best. They recently went above and beyond to help me replace a part on my older poles.

5 Connor
Great trekking poles- semi light weight and comfortable grips. Good adjustment mechanisms and lock reliably. With other poles I ’ m worried about straining too much backpacking weight and bending them, but I took these up Mt Baker and Mt Rainier( w/ opposing ice axe) and they were sturdy supporting 60+ lbs on my back. I wish they packed down a bit shorter( minimum length) for easier travel, but overall they ’ re great

5 Coachrob
[ Very happy! Love the cork handles! Big knob tops really help on inclines. Appears to be durable, time will tell. Comfy in the hand and nice hard tips

4 The Stranger
Very nice poles! Have used them on some big mile days and the grips are superbly comfortable and I really like the minimalist straps. The fit/finish is excellent and no slipping from the locking mechanisms so far. Only issue I can find is that they feel somewhat flexy and do have a slight bit of vibration that you can feel during use as compared to the set of carbon poles I replaced these with. Minor things overall and they don ’ t seem to hinder the poles performance in the slightest. Overall very satisfied and a nice set of poles.

Frankly I was a little skeptical at first whether the price was going to be supported by the value, but I can safely say that this is one of my better gear purchases in a long time. Build quality is exceptional and they have functioned flawlessly for me so far. I would highly recommend.

5 Erin L.
I took these for a spin the other day on a small hike and love how light they are. I got these for a big trek later this year and look forward to using them!

[ These poles replace a set I wore out. They are very stable, easy to use, and the hand grips exceedingly comfortable. Came with snow basket option. A great pole!

5 Deborah
[ There are my first hiking poles and I am really enjoying them. The extentions stay in place securely are are quick to adjust. The cork is comfortable and absorbent, I am a very sweaty hiker living in a high temperature area so it important for me to have a secure grip. I only wanted poles with cork grips. I am enjoying how the poles make my hikes more of a full body workout than not having any and my knees are much happier. I have already caught myself one with a pole when I would have slipped on some risky ground and my stream crossings are more secure with more limbs. The carbide tips are very reliable at finding purchase along the trail. I am trying to get my husband to buy a pair for himself. He is only 2 inches taller than me and these were a good value. An investment in our joints and hiking safety.

5 Kate
[ These black diamond trekking poles are high quality and good looking poles. They are super lightweight! The are easy to break down and put in my back pack.

i 'm using them for a while and the are much stadier and confortable that the other type i used before. Really good so far!

5 chris a.
I used my husband's super light BD trekking poles, but when it came to getting my own, I choose the shock absorbing version. Trekking poles are a great way to warm up my arms on the way to crag, which is usually uphill. On the way home, I can really lean on these shock absorbing poles to save my knees and feel more confident that I am not going to biff with a heavy pack!

5 Kimberly W.
Really Happy with the purchase, used them for the first time on an 18 mile hike and they are exactly wat I was looking for.

5 ALAN M.
Well made poles. I turned 60 this year and have been going on some trips with my daughter. We plan another to So. Dakota next week. These poles will make my hikes more stable with unlevel ruff terrain.

5 Cindi D.
I love the way they absorb the shock of hiking and traveling over rough terrain. I have another pair but they are Shock trekking poles, and what a difference does this make. Makes it easier to go the distance and not feel like you did! Great Product!

Just finished 6 days through Great Smokies on AT. Bought these poles in a rush because I could n't find my old aluminum Komperdels. Loved the feel of the extended cork grip so that I could choke up on the grip going uphill Without adjusting length. I really thought the twist adjust mechanics of my old Komperdells Was adequate but the flip lock on these was sturdy and the extra girth( bulge) It gave the pole did n't bother me at all. Love them. 5 Huddle
Literally used these poles for the entirety of the Appalachian Trail. Tips were worn by the end but that's usual for a 2200 mile journey. The fact the price is so good for the durability is great. One downside( and thats just because its carbon fiber) is they can snap easier. Had that happen to me a couple years ago when I crossed a stream, jammed it between rocks and slipped on it. But considering they survived 2200 miles means they are great as long as the user doesnt do something stupid.

5 ColoDrz
I 've had these trekking poles for over 3 years now and they 've performed at the same level as my more expensive poles. I originally got them as a backup to my Black Diamond trekking poles that I 've had for 12+ years as I got tired of having to change out the boots when I alternated from concrete to gravel trail, which is how I use the poles most of the time. In 2021 I took these on a 5 day hiking trip in Olympic National Forest and they were great! The flip lock mechanism makes it very easy to collapse and expand the poles as they went in and out of my daypack. Since then I 've used them seasonally on trips to Colorado or just the local gravel trails when it's not too hot. For the most part I do n't really collapse them- they stay expanded in my garage, ready for use. Another review mentioned these making a noise- I have n't experience that ever. The cork grip is great if you have a smaller hand. My only complaint is on the straps, which there is a limit on how small you can tighten them due to the stitched felt padding.

5 Bvb55
We hike several times a week and go ~10 miles each time. These poles are never not in my hands. They have saved me from serious injury on several occasions. I have neuropathy in my left leg/foot that causes drop foot. I took a fall going down a cliff and the poles caught on a tree and stopped my fall. I had broken ribs, wrist and thumb, but it would have been worse if I hadn ’ t had the poles. Amazingly, the pole was still working perfectly and I still use today! We decided to purchase an additional set for each of us a couple years ago, and interchange using the sets. Couples we hike with also have Cascade poles, which speaks highly on the quality of the product! We have decided to purchase 2 more sets so we can keep a set for each of us at our 2nd home. In total we will each have 3 sets of poles. Similar poles cost 3- 4 times more, so save your money! Don ’ t hesitate purchasing these trekking poles. You won ’ t regret your decision!

5 Flyboy
My wife and I have used these for years for hiking. Then two years ago she had a knee replaced and uses one Trekking pole for stability. She is a medical professional and keeps her Trekking pole by her side as she makes her rounds. She has become a poster child for your Trekking poles as many of her patients have asked where she purchased them. They all remark how light they are and how they are able to fold up. Best poles we have ever used. And yes we are still hiking! She now needs to order new “ gym shoe tips ” because she has worn down the tread!

5 TommyMac
I love these poles. Have had them for 4 years and have abused them from ski slopes to summits of Whitney, Izta, Orizaba& Toluca. I was suspicious of how they 'd hold up to serious abuse, but they 've held up beyond expectations.

The trekking poles are great. I have a liver problem that changes my center of gravity weekly and my sense of balance is not very good. The poles are great in assisting my walking. I want to know if the loops are adjustable.

5 tpetko
I 'm very happy with this purchase. The only recommendation for improvement I can make is that the cork handles come unsealed. Since these are going to be used heavily in a wide range of weather conditions, from the hot Arizona sun, Monsoon rains, and even snow, I felt it essential to seal the cork to ensure the handles hold up to the use I plan on giving them. I recommend UV- 40 cork seal. I have used it on fly rod handles I have made and it works perfectly, and lasts many, many years. Make sure to follow the application instructions on the bottle. Apply one good coat using a bristle brush. Make sure you do n't have any drips, runs or sags. Do not apply a second coat, as it will not penetrate.

5 Nick 'Trip' C
I bought a pair and used them on the AT with great success. East to adjust and maintain their adjusted length

5 Husky509
Great value and high quality. These are definitely a little heavier than the carbon fiber poles from Cascade Mountain Tech, but i dont think I will be breaking them.

5 Slam
Just purchased these poles after reviewing my health issues. Being a diabetic for 57yrs I am developing some balance issues. Researching canes I discovered how anti- postural they are, plus clumsy. An elderly neighbor was seen walking with trekking poles. I thought that was a good idea. I purchased my set from a chain sporting good store and got some walking shoes as well. Studied how to properly fit and use trekking poles. The experience is natural when set up correctly. Walking gate and posture are enhanced and I look forward to many walking excursions. I live in the intermountain west which is perfect location to use this valuable tool.

So far so good with my new trekking poles. My first pair served me well for 3 years. I broke one this winter coming down from South Double Top in the Catskills. My new pair is an improvement. The cork handles are more generous in overall circumference which fit my hands better. The lock mechanism is a vast improvement over my first pair that incorporated a retractable collar which collapsed on me when i reach too far down on the pole when ascending a step climb. I` m very pleased with my new trekking poles. Kudos to Black Diamond for making such a great product. Happy Trails... Mick

5 Robert S.
I ’ m a trad climber that always seems to pack heavy. These poles have changed my approach time and difficulty by a lot. I love them. They pack up nicely and height adjustable.

5 M. D.
Love these poles. Previously had the Alpine Carbon Cork. These feel very light but solid. Easily collapsable and has the best hand grips out there. The cork is so much better that the foam on some of there other models. I also like how the M/L grip is a bit larger which feels good in the hand. Ive heard some reviews that the locking pin sometimes collapses under pressure but mine have been fine. Skip the higher priced carbon flzs and get these! Also the color on the website looks more orangy/red but they are a true red in reality.

5 Yaritza H.

Oh and by the way, the QUEEN of England has the same one( google queen walking stick and you will see it). She had it painted black but it is the same one. I emailed the company to ask and they confirmed it. So pretty fun to get the same one as the queen.

[ I have a ultralight tent that uses trekkin poles but I do n't always want to use them. These poles are easily adjustable with a very good range, study yet very light and I feel they put less wear on the pockets than the trekking poles. So, I found a guy named `` Papa Hiker, '' and pitched several of his enclosed tarp shelters! I found a modified version of his Hex Tarp pitch, and those poles fit the bill perfectly! The shelter calls for a 125 cm trekking pole, but it just does n't collapse for easy storage; these poles do! I have no problems crawling into the tarp, and with another tarp on the ground underneath, I 'm dry! Ventilation is my only problem... other than that, these poles are great!

[ I purchased a Big Agnes tent for lightweight backpacking, and decided that adventure bikepacking is a go too... so, I ordered these poles to use when I do n't have my Trekking Poles. The adjustable option is perfect and I might even consider taking these poles when I just do n't take the hiking sticks for a short trip. Must buy! Cheers,

[ I purchased a Big Agnes tent that used trekking poles rather that having tent poles. I purchased these tarp poles so I could use the tent on bike trips. They seem to work in a home test. I only gave them four stars due to my lack of field testing over repeated trips. They do seem well made and durable. The lengths are well marked( in metric numbers). I typically like to travel light, so I am pleased that this minimalist 2- person tent weighs less four pounds.

Light weight, easy to use. Way better than the ground. I like it comes in a bag to mount on the outside of my pack. Used it every break on my hike. Wish the feet were a little bigger. It sinks in loss sand.

PD has somehow managed to create an incredibly small, portable, lightweight tripod that is simultaneously extremely well- built, tough, rugged, and capable of handling rigs far heavier than you 'd expect.

If you are in PD, this tripod would be a game changer. Although arca swiss tripod works just fine, PD tripods secure the plate and lock in place.

Lightweight, sturdy and perfect size! I 've bought and travelled with several different travel tripods... some were too small and clumsy, others were heavier and bulkier than I really wanted. I wanted something small, lightweight and sturdy enough for a 100- 400( 500) and this is it! I 've had it for a few years and travelled on 20+ trips and am extremely satisfied!

The tripod is super light, packs super small, is very stable and looks amazing. What else would you need from a travel tripod?

I did some extensive research before buying my carbon fiber tripod. You never know how much your aluminum tripod moves until you read up on it! This tripod is worth it's weight in gold if you ask me. I LOVE how compact the tripod is, it waste no open space like other tripods and fits snuggly in the case. It's light weight and sturdy, easy to mount the camera( Z9 in my scenario) has extra locking features. High recommend this tripod it's worth the investment.

I have used these poles for multiple adventures. From rugged mountain hikes over talus to sea side beach hikes. They have performed well catching what could have been a fall. The grip design is quite nice as when going down I will palm the top of the grip. And just under it are two slight indentation that two fingers dovetail into adding stability. Only once have I had a problem collapsing the pole. Not sure why but one would not release until I gave it a good tug. Normally a slight tug works. I did take these on a technical desert hike with lots scrambling. In the future I would use my older Makalu poles for such hikes as they see a lot of abuse. The aluminum will just hold up better. Otherwise they are now my goto trekking pole.

We were advised to order these. Great looking trekking poles. They fit our mannequin well.

Really glad to have very packable ‘ sticks ’ to use a week to months out of town. I can occasionally notice squeaky inner connections while walking, but usually do n't notice the sound. Great poles! Love the folding and locking system. So happy to have them:)

These are the best trekking poles money can but. They are feather light, sturdy and rigid, supremely comfy grip straps. On the fly length adjustments are easy. The collapsible function is clever and works flawlessly. They ’ re an investment for sure, but literally as good as it gets!

[ I have had a few sets of trekking poles over the years from Black Diamond, Cascade Mountain Tech and others. Leki compares favorably but I have only gotten to put about 20 miles on them so far. They vibrate/rattle less than inexpensive options such as CMT, and if you are frequent user of trekking poles they are probably worth the extra money. These particular poles are the lightest I have every personally used and the operation of them is very simplistic. Assuming they hold up to several hundred miles of punishment from me I will be pleased. If you are on a tight budget I ca n't say these are worth the extra money over some less expensive poles from Leki or Black Diamond.
