[ Here in North Central Florida winter temps can literally range from 15- 80 F. Now that I exclusively wear Smartwool socks, my feet are never cold or hot, even when wet. They have been a real boost to my comfort level. Also their odor is neutral whether I wear my worst farm work shoes, or my going into town shoes. Thanks Smartwool.

I can see why someone who loves typical smart wool sock might not like these( like some reviewers here). They are looser than other SW socks and that's why I LOVE THEM! They are perfect and exactly what I love in a sock! I 'm a small person but have fat ankles and these do n't cut off my ankle and make me feel gross. And I personally love the length. They stay up just fine for me! Size 6 shoe size small socks. Love love love these! I got mine at Sierra and now coming to the website to order more. Do n't love the price but...

I am really tough on socks& this has become my go- to vendor for all styles. These are great for hiking, for walking, OR for just wearing around the house when it is freezing cold& you have hardwood floors! They are very warm but you can also wear them working out& NEVER get that `` hot feet '' feeling. The ball of foot& heel padding is delicious. I bought the socks to wear with trail shoes to hike the Wichita National Wildlife area in Southwest Oklahoma, and they worked out very well. It was extremely hot and humid( sweat rolling down the legs and into my shoes), but the socks prevented hotspots and blisters. I have used wool and gymn socks in prior similar conditions, and had to use Luko tape and still had hot spots, but not with these socks.
