Brilliant shoes, I only bought them for comfort in a trail marathon called Excalibur but they seemed to outperform my other carbon plate trail shoes. Have `` toe protector ''. Easy to put on: able to press my foot into them. I remove the insole that comes with them and wear them with my custom orthotics. Bought them in `` black '', which in this shoe is a cross between a dark grey and black. Would like it even more if the black were a true dark black, like the comfortable stretchy laces that the shoes come with. With these shoes I need to order 1/2 size up from some other brands. Recommend this shoe and this brand.
