My son was falling behind his team mates as I could n't pitch a baseball to him. We did some research and this was a great entry level machine for us. We got it for him when he was 9 and have used it for 4 years. He has out grown the speed, but it is great to angle up and shoot out fly balls. I also angled it down and we can shoot out grounders. Great machine and well worth the investment.

This is exactly what it says it is. Perfect pitching machine for the smaller golf ball sized balls. My son and I hit wiffle golf balls before every game to get hes eyes on the ball. This machine is perfect for that, indoor or out door. I live in the Cleveland area so its pretty windy and this pitches through it no problem. I enjoy hitting off it as well. The balls have a true flight to them also, you can really hit them far. As accuracy goes its really like any other pitching machine you have to dial it in and it will occasionally throw some bad ones. Which I think is fine, you dont get perfect pitches when you step in the box.

Everything about this machine is 5 star. So good for teaching kids to hit live pitching. So much fun for backyard baseball. I am not sure who loves it more, the dad's or the kids. Also, jugs is such a top notch company. All of their products are over built in terms of quality. Their spare parts are cheap and easy to find when something breaks. I absolutely would n't but a machine from another brand. My one piece of advice is that the Jugs brand balls wear out quickly, are very expensive, and soak up water. We use Athletic brand foam balls and they work perfectly without the problems.

Great pitching machine for younger kids. Almost did n't buy it because the description indicated batteries were required. It actually does have a port for an ac/dc adapter but the cord was not included. Luckily we had an extra one which worked great. Machine is easy to use and adjust. The kids love it. A neighbor and good acquaintance of mine who plays for the St. Louis Cardinals bought one of these new Changeup machines. He told me it was the most effective machine he has ever used so I bought one for my sons. It is amazing how it throws change ups with a push of a button on a remote just like your car. You ca n't tell it is slowing down or speeding up. It is just like hitting against a pitcher in a game. The speed changes immediately in between pitches. Best money I ever spent to improve my kids hitting.

Just used it for the first time with my high school son. I was skeptical that the Changeup would somehow be telegraphed to the hitter. I thought for sure you could see the wheel slow down. I was wrong. I thought for sure you would be able to hear the motor slow down. I was wrong again. Finally, I figured the machine would take too long to adjust from Fastball to Changeup. Wrong for the third time. Hitting off this machine is just like being at bat in a game. When I played in high school and college, batting practice off machines became almost automatic. You knew the type of pitch, the speed and the general location before the next ball was pitched. This machine changes everything. My son will be able to learn to keep his bat back and not let it drift forward on off- speed pitches. If you are a serious coach or have serious ball players in your family, this machine is a must!
