I got a few of these for my paddles. I am redoing my gear room, hanging kayaks on wall. I got these holders to not mount on kayaks, as who wants to put holes in boats? I got them to screw into the rafters to clip my sets of paddles to the ceiling. The end tips close a tad behind the paddle, keeping it secure and can hang upside down. Tho I am still in process of redoing room, I have not hung up paddles yet, but IT WILL without a doubt work. If you are a gear junkie like me, you can imagine every amount of space possible is needed for storage.

My kayak did n't come with paddle keepers so I bought one of these. It's perfect because you can move it to either side and move it up out of your way so you wo n't scrape your knuckles. We 've since purchased a second kayak; same as the one we already own and purchased another clip on paddle keeper.

Paddle clips break easy especially when you tie your kayak to a dock and the clipped paddle hits the dock, lesson learned. The Cascade is sturdy and has some give to it, I can move it around the kayak so it is n't in my way when paddleing, I can move it to eather side of the kayak when fishing or I can clip it to the front of the kayak and have the paddle laying across the yak

Ive been using the Thule Jawgrip as a rod holder for my deep sea/surf fishing rods. I see Thule has a rod storage for fly fishing rods but none for the longer rods we have here in Southern California. The cinch keeps the rods in place and tights. Def recommend Thule improves on this to make it rod friendly.
