So far these have been great in the cold, snowy winter. They seem to be waterproof as advertised and are relatively comfortable. They work well for shoveling and are comfortable enough to wear to quick trips to stores, etc. I would n't want to wear them all day long. These shoes are so comfortable. Doesn ’ t really need break in time. Most leather requires some time( a few days) to get soften. These felt like running shoes, yet offering ankle support. Beware though. They are waterproof and not as breathable as running shoes. So it ’s a little too warm. The soles are soft too. Luckily the Vibram offers more traction and durability than standard running shoes. However, it ’s squeaky on tile floors when wet. Good purchase.

After a horrible experience with the migrating foam in the footbed of a previous leather- upper Merrell, this was a gamble... but so far it's been great. Incredible cushioning, great fit. A few unexplainable hard spots on the uppers noticeable only on steep side- hills. Now on to the desert sand.

Got these in low top. These are great! Coming off a pair of Moab 2 lows for hiking I feel these are a definite upgrade in looks and comfort. I think Merrell hit the nail on the head with the styling, I actually am tempted just to wear these as a daily without hiking in them, I do n't want to get them dirty! They look fantastic with jeans. Also note that these leather ones are more comfortable than the Speed 2 Goretex version... I tried on that pair and the cut outs for the ankle were higher and rubbed my ankle. There is no rubbing on these, however they are slightly heavier than the Speed 2 goretex. I imagine because this uses leather.

I got these for shoveling snow, before/after skiing, walking dogs, and other winter use. They 've been very comfortable and provide good grip. Warmth seems good too, but I have n't spent hours outside in them. I wore them as I loaded/unloaded skis and luggage in- 30F temperatures, and my feet stayed warm for those 10- 15 minutes. Needed a new pair of steel or composite toe work boots so went to a Bass Pro Shop on a specific mission for Keen boots. Wore non- ST Keens years ago and always like the look so thought I 'd try the ST version. Unfortunately Keen now runs wide and were exceptionally heavy... disappointing. Tried on about 8 pairs of boots from 4 different manufacturers and a price range from low 100's to 300+. Carhart,( or as we say in the northeast- Cah- haht) Millbrook CT was the clear winner both in price, comfort, and cool ol' school look. Literally bought them last night and wore them all day today and they felt like I 've owned them for years. If these were available in low cut, I would have bought those too. I prefer a boot that hugs the foot( see prior reviews) so this was perfect for me and very comfortable immediately. You 'll notice the single lace hook at the top so 95% full lace support is excellent, unobtrusive, and again, sooo comfortable. Appearance is a 5; Durability is admittedly unknown as this is my first pair, but based on initial observation, these should last for a while; Quality is definitely a 5; Functionality is a 5... for me. Well done Cah- Haht!!

Super comfortable right out of the box, a little squeaky on tile and vinyl floors the first few hours I wore them but that quickly went away. Didn ’ t notice a breaking in phase like I do with other boots and the side zip makes them really easy to take on and off. Haven ’ t used them in inclement weather yet but they feel solid and I have no issue wearing them while on my feet for 8+ hours a day. The boots are breathable and with the right socks my feet don ’ t sweat like they did with other boots no matter what I did. Looking like this will be the boot I use for the rest of my career.

I bought this shoe because I had previously used the FJ Contour Jogger golf shoe that had the same sole. The Contour casual has the same benefit of the excellent gripping sole( without spikes) and also the ability to go car to pro shop( not wearing out golf cleats). The leather on this shoe is amazing and if you 've owned FJ before, you know to buy something when it's available because there's always the poss of things changing in future years with sytle etc. The functionality of this shoe is A++, the quality is A++, the durability is A++. I can not speak for waterproof quality as I have not worn the shoe in wet conditions, but FJ has always warrantied thier products well and so I think that will be A+ as well.

These boots look and feel great to wear. Casual and still a bit dressy at the same time…They are great to wear out to dinner and also out in the rain and snow. The only fault is on the sole of the boot where the SOREL logo is in a dipped white rubber over the other part of the sole. I ’ ve only had the boots a few months with very little wear and the white rubber of the logo is peeling off of one of the soles. I know it ’s a small thing but it really diminishes the overall look and feel of these nice boots. Especially when out and you happen to cross your legs or have your feet up on an ottoman. Picky… sure. But it just is a bummer that it ’s that way. Otherwise a really nice boot.
