This has been every single thing that I needed for my plantar fasciitis. I have tried baseballs and a frozen water bottle, but this? Works wonders. I used it every single day, even though it hurt like nobody's business and within a matter of weeks? No more pain. It could have been a combination of this and a good orthotic insert for my shoes, but I think this had a huge part in it. This is worth every single penny in my opinion to help with foot pain like plantar fasciitis. I bought the larger size this time, to replace a smaller and original hollow one I had to leave when moving to another state. There is nothing that matches this product for me- but I use it differently, in my massage practice. The softer density allows me to press into a muscle( covered by a sheet of course) and allow the muscle to relax and lengthen. It also helps connective tissue( fascia) to release and glide back into place, and I can feel the direction and tempo of how the layers of tissue want to release. Because it's like a large thumbprint it can gently sink in( I never use it as a roller- instead I press and sometimes twist); it distributes the pressure, so that it causes less pain but really gets the job done. This has saved me from thumb and shoulder injury! The original lasted me at least 2 years. I 'm not crazy about the `` fins '', but understand the supportive construction. I will never be without one of these for myofascial release as long as I practice massage therapy. Definite thumbs up!

I am an endurance runner and over time, I have built up somewhat of an immunity to regular entry level foam rollers and have been looking for something more intense to achieve the results I am looking for, both pre and post workouts. This ball is a total game changer. Totally better than( insert an amazing feeling here, yes, I know and mean what most of you would insert here) I 've suffered with a pinched nerve in my neck since I was 2 years old due to a car wreck. So far as I can remember, I 've gotten headache from this nerve being aggravated all the time. I 've also have had a bulging disc that is pinching my sciatic nerve for the last 13 years...... this ball takes care of both of them to make than tolerable. This massage roller has a nice weight to it. I especially appreciate its cool, soothing capabilities when I experience my headaches. It feels so good and makes the day more tolerable. I do n't need to call in to work. It's easy to use independently. Maybe a longer handle attachment will become available to get those hard- to- reach spots.

This is a great roller if you are new or like a softer touch on the foam roller. Unlike most of the Trigger Point rollers this one is solid foam which has a little more give and is more comfortable than the hollow core rollers from them. I have this and one the hollow core rollers they both have their plus sides. This is not quite as aggressive and is there fore more tolerable for extensive work or sensitive muscles.

Water bottle... no way. This stays cold along time as you just think it doesn ’ t stay cold long because your foot gets used to the cold. This is amazing and no mess and freezes quickly... I had been using a water bottle that I froze in the freezer and after a while it would start to leak. But, with this foot roller I 'm able to treat my foot and not have to worry about water leaking all over the place. I have used it hundreds of times without any issues or problems.
