[ I 've been wearing these for years. The fit is great, pockets the right size, cool in summer and warm enough in winter( especially with an extra layer underneath). The zipper pocket is just right for my cell phone.

I have been using these Columbia pants for several years. They hold up extremely well, are light weight, dry quickly and protect me from wind and sun. They are my go to for general hiking and outdoor play but I still wear them around town. I have worn them climbing Mt Rainier and hunted in all kinds of conditions. I highly recommend these pants.

These are the best pants ever!! As a woman, I originally tried on the two versions of the women's convertible pants, but they are completely inferior. Besides the difference in fit, the men's pant comes with a belt( this adjusting buckle type of belt is the best and stays put even when hiking) and the women's does not. Additionally, this pant has pockets on both thighs and two in the back, and the women's has half that and are much less useful. I love the variety in pocket types in this pant( open vs zip vs velco flap), great for storing my dirty bits and paper map and fire starter all separately. Super lightweight, so wearing the full pant never seems like overkill. I have five pairs of this pant now, with plans to buy more! The most versatile pant, perfect for any trip!

[ Super comfy pair of hiking pants. Fit perfect with the belt and they were lose enough to hike comfortably. I appreciated all the pockets, they came in handy on my hike. The pants also kept me warm on a windy day. Made me feel like a true hiker 😊 I 'm a woman by the way and loved this pair of pants.

[ I bought three pairs of these pants and wore them exclusively on a backpacking trip around the world. A couple years, 40 countries, and 7 continents later, all three pairs are showing minor wear and tear. The mesh pockets get holes fairly easily and after a couple years, the seams are starting to come apart. But considering the mileage, they have been phenomenal. I decided to get three more pairs to replace them, and I have immediate thoughts on the updated pants. Pros: First, the belt is wider and much improved on the previous model. Secondly, the pocket mesh seems thicker, so hopefully it won ’ t be so prone to holes. Con: The zippered pocket on the left leg used to be perfect for a passport. I carried it in that pocket religiously and the new pocket has been changed to a smaller side opening deal, which is less than ideal. Not sure yet: The pants seem to be made of a new material and I don ’ t know if that ’s good or bad. Time will tell. Otherwise, I ’ ve never felt so comfortable in a pair of pants and if you ’ re a traveler, hot or cold, mountain or desert, these things are as reliable as they come.

I had Columbia hiking pants for a couple of years and wanted to add to the collection. I got tusk and stone green. Very functional for hiking and travel as they are very easy to compact while packing. Light material is comfortable and airy for hot, humid weather and they are quick drying. I used these for the first time in Costa Rica and it was one of the few materials that dried with the humid conditions. The color- coded zippers was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend.

Love the fit, comfort and thoughtful pockets, perfect for carrying essentials. Will order another pair. Legs are long in regular fit- works for me but others may want to measure just in case.

Great pants. Best fitting Carhartt pants I have had. Fabric is great feeling and looking though it does show wrinkles a bit more than I would prefer. Pocket layout is nearly perfect. My only gripe with them is that the extra pocket that is thigh level on the right side is pretty much pointless. If I put anything in it I can feel it on the back of my knee and it gets in the way when sitting. When there is nothing in the pocket I can sometimes feel the lining or stitching from it. I think the pants would be better if it was just omitted.
