This a very nice, well made case that looks great without being too bulky- which is why I decided against the Fishpond dual case. It ’s designed for 9 ’ four piece fly rods and it accommodates them well along with my Ross 9/10 and a Lamson 9+ fly reels. I ’ m really happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice compact, good looking travel case. Let me offer up this info/ suggestion, the individual slots/ pockets that hold each rod section are attached on both sides and it makes it difficult to reach a shorter rod section, say for a 8 ’- 8 ” T& T for example. So, I cut one side of each pocket sleeve so they are more like flaps instead of pockets. I took a lighter and singed the edges to keep them from fraying. The fabric is still in place so the rod sections are still protected, it ’s just easier to reach in a grab the rods that way. I hope that makes sense.

[ Do not normally leave reviews but am very pleased with this purchase. This is the best travel transport system for skis on the market. The hard case provides the required level of protection to prevent skis from getting banged up while the airlines sling luggage on and off a plane. Soft cases are not well suited for the type of abuse the airlines subject luggage to. You will be very happy if you purchase this product!

I used my Sportube with my family on a trip to the rockies last year. I 've had soft bags rip on me in the past so I thought I would go a different direction. [ This was a third Spotube I bought. The first two lasted a dozen years until the wheels got messed up. As mentioned by others, TSA always opens them; therefore, I try not to overpack the Sportubes to make it easier for TSA to put them back together:)

[ Got my rolling duffel a few weeks ago, and I 've been able to use it for 2 trips so far. I really like how adaptable it is, it feels at home in a classy lounge and out on trail. The wheels are amazing, they roll so smoothly! I 've read issues about the handle in other reviews, however I 've had no problems at all with it. There is a bit of unused space in along its spine, where the fabric covers the retractable handle, but other than that I am very happy!
