One thing though, once the factory tied knot on the rawhide lace comes out good luck trying duplicate it. I would try to keep it as long as you can. My baby literally started walking within like 1- 2 days of getting these shoes. Baby had been showing signs of readiness for walking for about 1- 2 weeks prior to getting these shoes but I think the shoes we had for her before were not great, so baby did n't have the confidence to start walking. Once we got these, she started walking. We were marveling at how quickly things turned around and even wondered if it was just pure coincidence that she started walking so quick after getting these shoes or these shoes feel so great in her feet that it gave her confidence to walk. We think it's the latter! We bought the next size for when baby outgrows the current size.
