Wow! I have been searching for an ultralight rain jacket and was thrilled when I discovered this on sale. MH's design is the best I 've found, and I hope they do n't change and will continue to offer this piece indefinitely, just in more colors. This is a great jacket. I first got one for my 10yr old and my 8yr old also loved it so I ended up purchasing a 2nd. My girls have other black jackets so I went with this color because it gave another option for clothing and is still very neutral. It is a great fall and spring coat. It is also great for the winter but not in those really freezing temps. The material is thicker than expected but not too thick, and the inside is super soft as well. It is a very well made and comfortable jacket.

This jacket is an addition to the three other various Carhartts that I have hanging in my coat closet. I was needing something on the lighter side this time for doing some e- bike trail riding around metro Detroit and also something to match the camo paint scheme on my fat tire. This jacket's Moss color turned out being about as close to U. S. Army `` mean green '' as you could hope to get and I also really like the high zip neck and velcro adjustable sleeves. The fit was perfect too, as always. Since I have the sincere `` need for speed '', I was also duly impressed with how warm it was against the Spring windchill temps. I paired this jacket up also with some Carhartt fingerless gloves which is another story but the combo has worked out exceedingly well for riding. After all the accolades though, what stands out the most about this brand to me is that it was born in the City of Detroit for the tough, honest, hardworking man and wearing it, to quote Doc Holiday, kind of reminds me of me.

I 've had many UA cage jackets, but this is by far, the best! Adding the hood is a great idea, but I 've always longed for pockets; Bam! Pockets! Every cage jackets, short of long sleeved, needs pockets! The only thing that has me a little confused is the option to cut off the long sleeves; cover to short sleeve. I like the idea, but I 'm not about to cut up a high quality jacket. Why not just add zippers to the sleeves so that they need taken off/on as one pleases? It's make more sense and functional.
